The Condensed Instructions on Preliminary, Main Practice, and Subsequent Stages from the Great Perfection One Cut All Liberation, Tying Up All Bonds. Infinite Wisdom. The Condensed Instructions on Preliminary, Main Practice, and Subsequent Stages from the Great Perfection One Cut All Liberation, Tying Up All Bonds. Infinite Wisdom. The Condensed Instructions on Preliminary, Main Practice, and Subsequent Stages from the Great Perfection One Cut All Liberation, called "Tying Up All Bonds," are present. Namo Guru Samantabhadraya. (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་ས་མནྟ་བྷ་དྲ་ཡ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमः गुरु समन्तभद्राय, Sanskrit Romanization: namaḥ guru samantabhadrāya, Literal Chinese Meaning: Homage to Guru Samantabhadra). The basis of delusion, primordial purity, is liberated as the clear Dharmakaya. Deluded appearances, luminosity, arise as the great thigle. The common splendor of samsara and nirvana, the primordial protector, the Lama. With a hundredfold faith, approach and bestow the blessings of body, speech, and mind. The ultimate of all vehicle stages, The pinnacle of all profound paths, Of Ati One Cut All Liberation, The pith of profound and concise instructions is placed. Therein, the essence of the intention of all Buddhas of the three times, The supreme of all vehicles, The heart essence of all dharmas, The key instruction of Ati innermost secret One Cut. When entering this instruction sequence that liberates merely by hearing, without the need for sharp or dull faculties, good or bad karma, When the qualities of the Lama and disciple as described in the texts are complete, and the favorable conditions of place, time, and companions are assembled. First, establish the general meaning with six modes of explanation. The actual instructions are threefold: liberation for the superior through mere symbols, liberation for the intermediate through meditation, and liberation for the inferior through verbal instructions. The first is: relying on the symbolic instructions of the uncommon four empowerments. The second, liberation for the intermediate through meditation, is: that which was recognized during the empowerment, bringing it to completion through the practice of realization and familiarization. The third, liberation for the inferior through verbal instructions, is what will be explained here. This has three stages: preliminary, main practice, and subsequent. First, there are four: by generating impermanence in the mindstream, the mind turns to Dharma; by generating bodhicitta, Dharma becomes the path; by supplicating the Lama, the confusion of the path is cleared; and by distinguishing samsara and nirvana, confusion arises as wisdom. The first is: In the root text: All self and others are in this great ocean of samsara, Although one has taken countless births, Nevertheless

When you obtain such a fleeting human body with leisure and endowments, if you do not practice Dharma, it will be difficult to obtain such a human body again. Therefore, now that you have obtained a human body, you must only practice Dharma. If you do not practice quickly, you cannot be sure when death will come, because nothing is permanent. There is no sentient being that does not die after death, so death is certain. When will death come? Because there are many causes of death, it will come quickly. Once death comes, anything that is not Dharma will be of no help, and you should repeatedly generate such renunciation. If you forcibly cut off attachment to this life, faith in the Dharma will arise. That is to say, if you truly remember death and impermanence in your heart, you will become weary of this life and generate unfeigned renunciation of samsara, and just that will accomplish the goal. However, for beginners, it is necessary to teach this method of guidance. If you want to elaborate in detail, first you should talk about the basis for contemplating death—the difficulty of obtaining a precious human body with eight freedoms and ten endowments; after death, karma will follow closely, and you will enjoy the fruits of good and evil, so cause and effect are infallible; and no matter where you are born in the high or low realms of the three realms, there is only suffering. Generate the three kinds of faith in your heart, and after generating the unwavering desire to pursue liberation, you can, like other Great Perfection guidance sequences, talk about the method of entering the gate of liberation—taking refuge. However, this method of guidance, because it gathers the essence of profound points, summarizes all the contents known as the four unique preliminaries in the third section, which is very profound and has great blessings, and that alone is enough. Second, entering the path of Dharma with bodhicitta: For all sentient beings in the six realms as boundless as the sky, there is not one who has not been my parent. These kind and gracious parents, sentient beings of the six realms, although they themselves also wish to obtain happiness, have fallen into error and delusion, and these sentient beings who suffer are truly pitiful. I will liberate them from suffering and let them obtain happiness. For this purpose, I will practice the supreme Great Perfection Dharma, and place all sentient beings on the state of Buddhahood. By repeatedly generating such intention, you can cut off the attachment to selfishness and thus embark on the path of altruistic bodhicitta. Third, praying to the lama to avoid going astray
