It is the symbol of samsara and nirvana. The appearance of a vase in the center is a symbol that everything arises from bodhicitta. Filling the inside with various vase substances is a symbol that all appearances are integrated into the mind. Inserting various flowers as decorations is a symbol that awareness in the mind has no brightness or dimming. Thus, the mandala of symbols is shown, appearance is mind. After that, in order to empower the power of awareness into the mind, the vase is placed on the disciple's head. Hūṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ. (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) In the vast space of the unborn dharmakaya mandala, with the unobstructed vase of awareness deity assembly, may the vajra lineage show its true face, and may the appearances be blessed to be integrated and controlled! In this way, the symbol empowerment of appearance into mind is completed. After that, both the master and the disciple should express this subsequent permission empowerment in words: Through the empowerment of appearance, mind, and awareness, may the human body manifest the Buddha's mind, may the coemergent wisdom be realized at this time, and may the meaning of the inseparable dharmakaya be realized! Recite this three times. After that, in order to complete one's own assembly, even if the guru has no intention, one should offer wealth and make everyone happy with a grand feast. The tantra says: The disciple should offer wealth and hold a grand feast, in order to realize all phenomena as one, one should offer horses, elephants, jewels, and grains to the guru. By offering supreme wealth, one will realize the supreme meaning. Thus it is said. After that, one should enjoy the meaning of the manifestation of awareness. This is the instruction for the symbol empowerment of phenomenal appearance with elaboration. Samaya. Gya Gya Gya. Ati. After that, the second is the symbol empowerment of non-elaboration emptiness. The tantra says: The nature of mind is emptiness, in order to realize emptiness and dharmata, one should request the guru for the empowerment of non-elaboration emptiness. One should pray at the time of sunrise. Thus it is said. Therefore, in order for the disciple to realize awareness as luminous emptiness, one should offer the request for the non-elaboration empowerment as soon as the sun rises. The guru should set up a mandala of a spotless mirror in a secluded place on top of the mandala. Place an eight-sided crystal ball and peacock feathers on it. Arrange the tsok offering cake as before. Please the guru, the Three Jewels, the dakinis, the dharma protectors, and the treasure protectors. After that, the disciple takes off his upper garment and prostrates. Stand up, put your palms together, and pray like this:

Emaho! To the Sambhogakaya Kunsang Lama, I respectfully pray to you, the very embodiment. In the great palace of the unborn nature of reality, Please bestow the empowerment of stainless wisdom light. Such prayer should be made three times. Then the Lama asks with delight: Awareness, the unreal son of mind, Are you willing to engage in the decisive meaning? The definitive, non-dual emptiness, Are you able to uphold the teachings of the samaya? Thus he asks. The student agrees to uphold it. Then the student is made to take a vow in suchness: Do not follow the delusion of signs, Without effort, do not stray from the meaning of reality, A supreme Dharma of aimless meditation practice, If you deviate from this, you will destroy yourself. Thus, the oath water is poured and the vow is taken. Then the Lama says: Son, who are you? The son replies: I am the son of awareness, the mind. If you have not seen the mandala of emptiness and wisdom, Look at your own body. He asks: What is your body? If he says: The upper body is naked, the lower body is clothed. Likewise, know this very nature of mind. Just as clothes arise dependent on the body, appearances arise dependent on the mind. Just as the body is covered by clothes and cannot be seen, The mind clings to appearances and does not realize the meaning of emptiness. Just as removing the upper clothes reveals the naked body, Likewise, whatever appearances arise, they are seen as the nature of reality. Likewise, know this mandala as well. Just as the mandala clearly appears in a mirror, yet there is nothing to grasp, Although various appearances arise, they are unreal and a sign of emptiness. These five rainbow lights appearing on the crystal, This is a sign that the self-display of emptiness arises in any way. Although it arises, it is not established as a real thing, it is a sign of emptiness. Thus, by showing the mandala, the emptiness of mind is indicated. Then, to empower the mastery of emptiness, the power of wisdom is empowered: A crystal is placed over the student's eyes, Hūṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ! In the beautiful mandala of the Sambhogakaya appearance, Clear yet ungraspable, various crystal lights, Bless the body and wisdom, the supreme lamp of emptiness, May the unborn nature of mind be liberated. Thus, the empowerment to realize the emptiness of mind is bestowed. Then, the subsequent permission, both the master and the student say this: By the empowerment of awareness-emptiness wisdom, At this time, with the intention of the illusory body Buddha.
