. Having abandoned the two obscurations along with their habitual tendencies, and not abiding in the extremes of existence and peace, in order to become the guide of the world with its gods, one must definitely accomplish the precious state of perfect and complete enlightenment of the Buddha. The Dharma-kaya of the Buddha is free from all elaborations. The Sambhoga-kaya's body and pure land pervade like the sky. The Nirmana-kaya is able to display inconceivable activities of taming beings according to their needs. Such a state, where the benefit of beings continues uninterrupted until samsara is empty, is something that one must attain. By contemplating this well, one develops the mind to seek liberation based on examples. By having faith in the meaning, one will definitely want to accomplish the state of Buddhahood. Sixth, train the mind by contemplating the guru's instructions: The instructions of the noble guru are the path to ascend to the palace of liberation, like a good staircase. It is said that the method to accomplish such a state depends solely on the profound instructions of a qualified and noble guru. The unerring instructions are a good path that is easy to enter and without error to proceed to the palace of liberation. For example, just as one can easily reach a three-story building or higher by relying on a good staircase. Therefore, first, do not follow false rumors, but seek a qualified guru who comes from a credible, authentic, and indestructible lineage, who is not attached to the eight worldly concerns and conceptual thoughts, and who definitely possesses experience and realization. In the middle, practice austerities with the three kinds of pleasing actions and request definitive instructions. Finally, because one cannot accomplish even one thing with many thoughts, regard the instructions received from the guru as medicine for the sick, nectar for sustaining life, and a wish-fulfilling jewel that fulfills all needs. If one can practice with single-pointedness without being distracted by obstacles, just as a sick person who relies on the medicine of a skilled doctor for a long time can completely recover from even a serious illness, one will quickly be liberated from obscurations and attain the fruit of Buddhahood. By contemplating this well, one understands that the guru's instructions are indispensable based on examples. By having faith in the meaning, one becomes eager to engage in practice and is able to endure. Seventh, train the mind by relying on non-discrimination.

It is like this, non-conceptual meditation is the basis for the arising of all samadhis, just like a fertile field. It is said that the mind arises like a storm, distracted by the power of others, with the three poisons as the head, all kinds of feelings of conceptualization, these endless conceptualizations, not thinking about anything, constantly abiding in the non-conceptual meditation, is the indispensable basis for the arising of all the doors of samadhi. For example, if you want the crops to bear fruit, if there is no fertile field, it cannot become the basis for growth. As it is said: "Conceptualization is great ignorance, it is the factor of falling into the ocean of samsara." Like this, from beginningless time, the chain of dualistic conceptualization has been continuous, relying on it, in the boundless ocean of samsara, again and again enjoying the cause and effect of suffering. If you continue to follow it, there will never be an opportunity to obtain happiness. Now you should practice non-conceptual meditation, and quickly manifest the nature of the three bodies of the Buddha. Thinking like this, the body should be placed in the seven-fold posture of Vairochana. Visualize your own body as the deity, or visualize it as an ordinary person, the appearance is bright, the inside is clear, with the nature of light, abiding in the experience of bliss, this is the practice of bliss-emptiness non-conceptualization. In this state, relax the body and mind, put your hands on your knees, and stare into the void with bright radiance, this is the practice of clarity-emptiness non-conceptualization. At this time, do not generate any thoughts or ideas in the mind, abide in the uncreated, natural state, without distraction, without attachment, in a relaxed state, generating the experience of non-thought self-illumination, like the sky, this is relying on the non-conceptualization of dharmata to practice the mind. The first two are with characteristics, and the latter is the formless peaceful abiding. By practicing well like this, you can understand that relying on metaphors, meditation is indispensable. Through the practice of meaning, good experiences will arise in the continuum, becoming the basis for stable samadhi. Third, the special preliminary practices, the order of accumulation and purification. The scriptures say: "Taking refuge and generating bodhicitta, holding with methods such as purification and accumulation." This is what is said. There are five of them, taking refuge.
