And the method of seeking and begging for roots, and the ritual of holding roots, and the method of union, and the act of causing the bodhi-bindu to descend, and the ritual of holding the bindu, and the ritual of turning the bindu upwards, and the ritual of examining and familiarizing oneself with the experience of bliss, and spreading it in the roots, and mixing it with the wind there and increasing it, and then placing the subsequent awareness of experience in one's own continuum, and the secret instruction of keeping the mudra-mother extremely secret. The bliss of wind and mind is: entrusting awareness to one's own bindu, the lamp of emptiness, which is in the brahma-hole of the brain, as it melts through the path, the bindu comes dripping down like small peas, and when it reaches the throat, one's own body feels a tingling bliss, and one should fix one's mind on that. Then, as it descends to the heart, the bliss increases even more; as it reaches the secret place, the bliss increases supremely, and as awareness is placed on that, the body is filled with bliss and emptiness like a flame; meditating on that, entrusting awareness to the upward turning and downward dripping, after a while the body feels a tingling bliss; one does not want to speak words; in the bliss of the mind, one feels a tingling bliss of emptiness with non-conceptual experience; as one becomes accustomed to that, the actual bindu will also descend; that is the measure of familiarity. According to one tradition, if the bindu is not turned upwards or dripped downwards in that way, but placed on one merging into the other, bliss will increase; as the bindu becomes smaller and smaller, and finer and finer, one's own awareness also becomes finer and abides; that is for those whose awareness does not abide on the manifest, to train with skillful means at first. Then, having abided with the method of abiding, one should then begin to enter into awareness itself; in that way, awareness goes before, taking the example of a skillful shepherd tending sheep, and one should bring out pure awareness; whoever is like a blind person with the lineage of wisdom cut off, not seeing the lamp of wisdom, that is also for the sake of being taken by compassion; one should become familiar with karma-mudra, draw in the wind and train; then, one should subdue the roots, rely on the bindu, entrust one's mind to that and have them meditate. Entrusting one's mind to the arising of such appearances, awareness will also arise in that way; what should be held for hermaphrodites whose lineage of compassion is cut off is: entrusting awareness to the previous burning and dripping bindu and meditating, the body will feel a tingling bliss.

There are two types of action: common action and one's own action. There are four common ones: By what does one act, what does one act, how does one act, what does one attain.
