For countless beings without children, how can they enter the city without knowing the way? This is what it means. The wheel of ignorance neither diminishes nor is exhausted. This is what it means. To settle the mind with conceptual thought is like a dwarf trying to reach the sky. This is what it means. The initial self-arisen guidance of the three kayas is: the uninterrupted seeing of the eye faculty, awareness is the Dharmakaya. The definite knowledge of seeing is the wisdom Sambhogakaya. The essence of the eye, the wisdom wind body, is the Nirmanakaya. The three kayas are inseparable, and the initial self-arisen guidance is: the first of the supreme holds the three kayas. This is what it means. By establishing it with example, meaning, and sign, the mind is without doubt about the three meanings. This is what it means. Recognizing the wisdom of meaning is possessing the nature of all meaning, qualities, and the three. This is what it means. Identifying awareness within the five skandhas is: without moving the eyes, gazing into the space of a cloudless sky, the lamp of the pure realm of space shines forth. Abide in the state of the Vajra chain body, the great all-penetrating wisdom. Awareness reaches its limit, and awareness is the manifest appearance. Awareness is the appearance of the path sign: by gently pressing the mirror that illuminates the eyeball, the appearance of the light rays of compassion arises. Bindus and subtle bindus appear. The appearances of the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya arise. The five eyes also arise. The five eyes arise without attachment. This is what it means. In the space of the unborn, unobstructed awareness self-liberates. All phenomena are brought to exhaustion. The essence is primordial purity, the nature is spontaneous perfection, without interruption. Transcending extremes, without partiality, is the confidence of view. Without aim, without letting go, is the confidence of meditation. Without fear, without desire, is the confidence of action. Without abandonment or attainment, without hope or fear, is the confidence of the result. The three paths and four confidences are the essential instructions. Scripture, reason, and pith instructions, with faith, strike the essential point of the instructions. The view and meditation that fall into error are: grasping the mind with various knowledges. View is the error of effort and exertion. Spontaneous perfection is the error of falling into emptiness. Clinging to the boundless, inexpressible emptiness, annihilation, extremism, and emptiness are not view. Clinging to the illusory body and clear light is the same as clinging to permanence. Know that these are the errors of view. Empty
