He made countless circumambulations, offered inconceivable gathering wheels and mandalas, and then prayed, saying, "Alas! Protector, Great Compassionate One, please take me into your care!" Thus, with a tone of deep sorrow, he prayed, and all the instructions were completely and fully bestowed. After entrusting those texts, when he departed into the expanse of the sky amidst rainbows and light, Vimalamitra fell to the ground, and with a loud cry of "Kyi hud!" he uttered a lament of grief. Then, from within a precious Sona Gau box inlaid with five kinds of precious jewels, there fell something called "The Fourth Method of Leaving a Testament." After that, the great scholar Vimalamitra was invited by King Senge Sangpo of Kamala in eastern India (also known as Dharmapala). While residing as the object of veneration on their heads, during the day he turned the wheel of Dharma for the king, queen, princes, ministers, subjects, and retinue, and at night he resided in the charnel ground of spontaneous accomplishment, teaching the Dharma to the dakinis. These are brief accounts of the Victorious Ones' Intent Transmission and the Vidyadharas' Symbolic Transmission. Now, the history of the transmission into the ears of individuals in the snowy land of Tibet is as follows: At that time, in that era, the great Dharma King Trisong Detsen built the glorious Samye Monastery in central Tibet. He invited masters such as Guru Padmasambhava from India. Translators of scriptures translated the sacred Dharma, and the Buddha's teachings flourished and spread. At that time, I thought that I must make the Buddha's teachings like the rising sun in the morning sky. So, I offered three bre of gold dust and five gold patras to King Senge Sangpo of India, and sent Kawa Paltseg, Rema Rinchen Chok, and Chokro Luyi Gyaltsen as messengers, sending a letter saying: "Alas! Dharma King Senge Sangpo, I offer this gift of gold dust patras. In return for the gift, please kindly send to Tibet a learned pandita who is knowledgeable in sutra and tantra Dharma, especially skilled in secret mantra!" Thus, sending the letter, he dispatched three messengers to India. After the three messengers arrived in India, they presented the letter, gold dust, patras, and so on to the king. The king, in the assembly of panditas teaching the Dharma, recounted the arrival of the messengers from the Tibetan king and the gifts.
