Emaho! In Maratika, I accomplished the immortal vidyadhara. Amitayus himself appeared, granting blessings, empowerments, and inconceivable instructions. For the sake of fortunate beings in the future, I have condensed the essence of all these into a method of practice and revealed it. Samaya! Here, there are three main points: First, establishing the support for practice: In a place where blessings are accomplished, take auspicious earth and build a platform. Draw a red, crescent-shaped longevity mandala with one door, marked with hand gestures. In the center of the mandala, on a low seat, place a precious vase filled two-thirds with the ever-flowing turquoise lake and continuously flowing pure water. Insert the five essences and other vase substances, as well as the essence pills of longevity. Decorate with fruit-bearing trees, and attach painted images and tsakalis. In front, place a growing arrow made with longevity and kapala (skull cup) mixed together. On the right, place a fine skull cup filled with alcohol, the three sweets, and longevity substances. On the left, place longevity pills. Behind, place an arrow banner. Finally, arrange warm tormas as offerings. In the morning of an auspicious waxing moon day in any of the four directions, strictly seal the boundaries. Practice the longevity practice without anyone knowing, and especially ensure that the support for practice is not seen by anyone. Second, the method of practice: Divide it into four or six sessions, following the preliminary and main practices of the activity. Visualize yourself as the embodiment of the family, Amitayus, appearing as emptiness and rainbow-like, and focus the mind on the mantra garland at the heart, practicing to generate clear and stable appearances. Once the visualization is clear, recite the mantra along with the emission and absorption of light rays. During the absorption of longevity, gather all your wandering spirits into the sixteen vowels. Gather all the diminished lifespan and the life essence of samsara and nirvana into the immortal nectar, the essence of the life tree, the five winds, and the form of light rays. Avoid mistakes in recitation. Seal the speech wheel. Do not be near fire or the sun. Keep the warmth of the cushion from dissipating. If combined with essence pills, it is excellent. In all sessions and between sessions, maintain the indivisibility of the deity and your own mind, the innate immortality in its original purity. At the end of the session, perform the subsequent rituals of invoking and requesting longevity. The essence of longevity dissolves into the life force of the heart, thereby stabilizing the life peg of longevity. Visualize the union of the sun and moon, extremely hard, without any gaps, with various vajra horns on the outside, tied with a half-vajra stake, so that it cannot be damaged in any way, and abide in the state of self-awareness.
