In terms of behavior, protect the journey and rely on secluded places. Do not ride a horse, do not cross a large river. Do not go to a house of mourning, and avoid red. Avoid the defilement of lepers and widows. Do not climb uphill, and do not ride mules or horses carrying corpses. Do not bring lepers into the house. Thus, with five healing methods, treat the patient with compassion and diligence. In this way, the disease will be immediately relieved, and in the future, the healer will become a virtuous person. A doctor who is greedy for profit and wealth may be able to heal the patient temporarily, but the wrath of Vishnu will turn into a deadly executioner. Therefore, the thought of benefiting others is the secret instruction. In limb treatment, there is the treatment of descending diseases, as well as three methods of treatment: scattering, fragmentation, gathering, and combining. In descending treatment, if the disease descends to the lungs, new phlegm will be coughed up. If there is a lot of phlegm, give galangal, raisins, saffron, licorice, and five kinds of white Srolo. Mix them equally and give them with boiled water. If the disease descends to the liver, there will be blurred vision, shortness of breath, and liver pain. Eliminate it with saffron, cloves, bear bile, priyangu, bitter gentian, and rock rosin. If the disease descends to the kidneys, there will be kidney colic. Give kidney broth, plums, and cardamom. If the disease descends to the stomach, there will be stomach discomfort and indigestion. Give cardamom, myrobalan, usira, and white cardamom. Mixing and giving these four will liberate from the disease. If the disease descends to the heart, there will be unhappiness and a desire to cry. Give nutmeg, guggul, white sandalwood, large meat, and heart broth, all mixed with white sugar. Giving it appropriately will eliminate heart wind. Alternatively, eliminate it with snowdrop, large meat, heart broth, white incense, and white sandalwood. For spleen disease, giving cardamom, cloves, musk, and broth will restore life. These can be made into powder or pills, as appropriate.
