In the first of the three methods of purifying sins, there are three ways to purify: peaceful, semi-wrathful, and wrathful. First: Take off your hats and sit down. Circumambulate the support three times to the right. Both the substances and the mantra are gentle, which is peaceful. Second: Circumambulate the support to the left. Cloves and calamus are peaceful substances. The vajra is shaken, and the bell rings. The mantra of Sumbha is wrathful, which is semi-wrathful. Third: Generate yourself as Hum, then invite the wrathful deity, make offerings and praises, give commands, burn incense, play music, strike instruments, etc. All the substances, mantras, and samadhi are wrathful. Some ancient people said that this method is only an oral tradition and has no scriptural basis. If that were the case, then in the tantra that cuts off all secrets, it says, "Satisfy the obstacles, give rewards and torment them, extremely torment and threaten them to drive them away." And Darika also said the same thing. Second, eliminating inauspiciousness: Nirmanca means to sweep away dirt. In the third step, recite the mantra "Om Sarva Papam Dahana Vajra Ye Svaha (ཨོཾ་སརྦ་པཱ་པཾ་ད་ཧ་ན་བཛྲ་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།,oṃ sarva pāpaṃ dahana vajra ye svāhā, सर्व पापं दहन वज्र ये स्वाहा, Om, all sins, burning vajra, hail)" to bless white mustard seeds, circumambulate the body, and then burn them in the fire. The same goes for water. And so on. Darika said, "Sweep away dirt many times, completely praise the empowerment." This step is to use the mantra Sarva Papam etc., to circumambulate the mustard water twice to the left and right respectively, and then throw it into the fire. Use khatos etc., and use the Hum and action mantras to circumambulate as before, and then throw it into the mouth, instead of throwing it into the fire. Third, eliminating sins: In the Vajra Dakini, it says, "The unbearable sins that have become Pam, take them out from the nostrils, then visualize the form of the dakini, visualize completely devouring them." Some people say that there is no basis for placing fire and water on the left and right, but Darika said, "After completely circumambulating to the left and right, pour them into the fire and water." The Dakini Heart Drop also says the same thing. Therefore, withdraw the wrathful deity from yourself and the benefactor, etc., until the ashes are poured into the fire and water. Seventh, washing and wiping: The tantra says, "Together with the assembly of disciples, wash with the purity of the mantra." Therefore, the object of purification is the dirt contaminated by impure things such as craftsmen, and the method of purification is to wash with bath water transformed into the nectar of wisdom.

Including the conduct of the Vajra Acharya. The result of practice can be transformed into the nature of the support wisdom being. How to practice is as follows: In the tantra it says: "Ritual objects are washed in reality, drawings are in the mirror." Therefore, those supports that can be invited are invited to the bathing platform. Those that cannot be invited hold the mirror reflecting their images above the bathing basin. Next to the bathing mandala, the Acharya wears Dharma robes, holding the first bathing vase in his right hand and hanging a bathing towel on his left shoulder. To his left are those holding sesame oil and a mirror, and to his right are those holding cleansing items and the second bathing vase, with silk cloths draped over their left shoulders. Here, after reciting the names of the Bhagavat and others, the mirror is smeared with fragrant sesame oil using a Durva grass brush, while reciting (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སརྦ་,Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं सर्व,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ sarva,Literal Chinese meaning: Om, all) etc., rubbing and kneading. The brush is used to apply powder of five kinds of tree bark, while reciting (Tibetan: སརྦ་,Sanskrit Devanagari: सर्व,Sanskrit Romanization: sarva,Literal Chinese meaning: all) etc., rubbing and kneading, and then to the first bathing vase, reciting the mantra "This is the supreme bathing, endowed with glory," washing away oil stains etc. Then, the body etc. is wiped with these. By this example, it is compared up to the eighth bathing vase. After that, the substances for smearing and kneading are placed aside, and only the first bathing vase is used to bathe and wipe the body, apply fragrance, and offer silk cloths. At these times, incense is burned, a rain of flowers is showered, music is played, and so on, with various forms. The reason for dividing this bathing sequence into lower and higher levels is found elsewhere. Although not mentioned in the same section, it is established in meaning and has many sources for generating certainty. Therefore, what was just mentioned is the lower bathing, and the higher bathing will be explained in the tenth section. Eighth, the generation of the support is the nature of the dwelling place. It is also the union of the vow mind, that is, the word Samaya (Tibetan: ས་མ་ཡ་,Sanskrit Devanagari: समय,Sanskrit Romanization: samaya,Literal Chinese meaning: vow) enters into the vow. If explained by the etymology of Samadhi, it can also be applied to going and coming. Therefore, the wisdom deities are the basis for going and gathering. The method is as usual, generating the deity from the state of purification and emptiness. Ninth, inviting the wisdom being and making offerings etc. is to delight the self and the heart of the support as one taste.
