Regarding the life-stone of the male lineage of the Dharma Protector Mahakala, from the northern side of the practice place, a triangular black stone is taken with the tip of a hooked knife, and the syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) is written on it with gold. For the female lineage of the goddess, from the northeast direction, a blue pebble from a great lake is taken with a hooked knife, and བྷྱོ (Tibetan: བྷྱོ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्यो, Sanskrit Romanization: bhyo, Chinese literal meaning: Bhyo) or one's own life syllable is written. It is good if both are not seen by the sky and the directions correspond to each other. If the directions do not correspond, take it from the target. If there is no hooked knife, it is also permissible to take it with the tip of a knife, as Chakme Rinpoche said. For other arrogant ones, it is good to know their respective life-stones, and if not known, take a hollow bone that has not been seen by the sky and has not been touched by the hand, and write the respective seed syllable, or ཏྲི (Tibetan: ཏྲི, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्र, Sanskrit Romanization: tra, Chinese literal meaning: Tra). The knife-heart of the Mahakala lineage and the arrow-heart of the goddess are the main parts of the life-support. It is very important that other respective support substances are in harmony and gathered separately. For the Three Roots Dharma Protectors in general, their respective complete colored body images painted with precious materials, and life-mantras written in gold on silk that corresponds to their respective colors, and their respective samaya substances made into pills with the life-syllable written on them, are placed together, which is said to be the essential oral instruction. The life-stone seed syllables and the wheel seed syllables of the Dharma Protectors are placed face to face. That life-mantra can be together or wrapped behind the wheel, and that back will become the powerful personal deity body image of each, together with the mantra plaque, or if not gathered, it is explained to just wrap the mantra plaque. The wheel of the primordial wisdom Mahakala, the Lord of Auspicious Gatherings, is wrapped with black silk at the beginning of each Dharma Protector. It is said to be placed together with the heart of a black sheep. The hooked knife of knife-iron, etc., the general support substances of Mahakala should be completely gathered. The life-stone of the Four-Armed Mahakala is a hollow bone, and ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) written with vermilion and red lead is wrapped together with the wheel. Gold, turquoise, coral, crystal, conch, magnet, black stone from a cemetery, knife-iron, thunderbolt, copper needle, grain medicine, pieces of knife-heart, etc. are wrapped with black silk. Put in the flawless knife-heart and place it together with the support torma, etc., or put it in any iron or copper gau box, and wear it with the essential points of the oral instruction. In the center of the hermaphrodite wheel, place the seed syllable written with gold or vermilion on the hollow bone life-stone. In the Rainbow Sutra, it says on the six faces of the hollow bone
