Regarding entering the mandala for the sake of activity, the tantras and agamas strictly instruct that teachers with lesser realization and understanding must first fully receive the empowerment themselves. Therefore, one's own awareness, the very essence of the Sugata-garbha, abides in the form of the principal deity of the mandala, inseparable from the guru. The basis for the ripening of habitual tendencies—the alaya-vijnana, the eight consciousnesses, along with their parts—is separated into the form of the disciple. Alternatively, one may consider the guru as acting as the karma-acharya, beginning with bathing and dispelling obstacles. It is extremely important to receive the complete empowerment that the disciple offers, up to the final offering of the mandala. This is because, for a teacher who is like a child, a beginner, there are always shortcomings, confusion, and obscurations. If the teacher's continuum has root downfalls, the disciple will not generate the vows of a vidyadhara. Therefore, this method purifies the root downfalls, and the disciple also gains great benefit. Just as with the self-entry of the yoga-tantra empowerment for ripening the Eight Commands, if one cannot fully perform the extensive empowerment ritual, then one should simply perform a concise entry and receive the essence of the four empowerments along with the substances. In comparison, if one has slightly greater understanding and familiarity, and has decisively mastered the skill of both extensive and concise rituals, then receiving the empowerment of the samadhi of radiating and gathering light is also effective. For Vajra masters who have firm conviction in their understanding, they realize from the beginning that the deity and oneself are inseparable. Therefore, by reciting the five mantra phrases such as "Om Vajra Samaya Om (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཨོཾ།,梵文天城体:ओँ वज्र समय ओँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra samaya oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡,金刚誓言,嗡)" as spoken in the tantras, one clearly establishes that the result of the mandala deities of self-existing wisdom—the five kayas (dharmakaya, sambhogakaya, nirmanakaya, immutable vajrakaya, and svabhavikakaya)—and one's own three doors are inseparable. By saying "Om Yeshe Gyalpo Ku Sung Tuk (藏文:ཨོཾ། ཡེ་ཤེས་རྒྱལ་པོ་སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས།,梵文天城体:ओँ ज्ञानराज काय वाक् चित्त,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ jñānarāja kāya vāk citta,汉语字面意思:嗡,智慧之王,身语意)" and throwing the flower of awareness, the mandala deities turn towards granting siddhis. By reciting "Om Vajra Samaya Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओँ वज्र समय हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra samaya hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡,金刚誓言,吽)" one merges the samaya-sattva and jnana-sattva; by reciting "Om Vajra Samaya Sattvam (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་སཏྭམ་,梵文天城体:ओँ वज्र समय सत्त्वम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra samaya sattvam,汉语字面意思:嗡,金刚誓言,萨埵)" one makes it stable; by reciting "Om Vajra Samaya Hoh (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཧོཿ,梵文天城体:ओँ वज्र समय होः,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra samaya hoḥ,汉语字面意思:嗡,金刚誓言,霍)" one subjugates and generates joy, and one contemplates becoming inseparable from the mandala deities. In general, the characteristic of entering is to become inseparable from the deity, therefore, by recognizing that the wisdom mandala and oneself are inseparable, one accomplishes its meaning. Whether extensive or concise.

Finally, also join palms and, with "Om. That which obtains vajra wisdom (Tibetan: ཨོཾ། རྡོ་རྗེ་ཡེ་ཤེས་འཐོབ་བྱེད་པའི།)," etc., request permission to introduce the disciples. When the ritual is extensive, the merit of speaking the power of truth should also be performed as it occurs. Thus, whether it is a broad, medium, or concise introduction, and whatever permission is requested, deceptive behavior such as entering into empowerment and establishment without doing so should never be done. Before introducing into the mandala through the introduction ritual, it should be well concealed with a curtain so that it cannot be seen. Seventh, regarding empowerment, the extensive and concise rituals differ according to the method, and the classifications and summaries are also different, and the order is also slightly different, but in general, they can be summarized into two types: the dharma of entering the mandala and the manifest empowerment after entering. The former is further divided into outer introduction and inner introduction according to the size of the vessel and the order of introducing inside and outside the curtain. First, the preliminary order of entering the outer symbolic mandala is: The disciples who are in the preparatory stage are seated in front of the door of the mandala house. The door master or karma vajra should go outside the door and offer prayers and answers to the great wrathful door guardian, requesting permission to enter. Bathe with the water of the karma vase. When the door is opened and introduced into the room, the master should dispel obstacles. After being seated, meditate on the protective wheel. To symbolize that the innate ignorance has blinded the eye of wisdom, cover the face with a red silk cloth. As a greeting gift for meeting the deity of the mandala, and for the purpose of examining the lineage and vessel, each holds a five-colored flower garland born from the seed syllables of Boundless, Meaningful, Illuminating, Jewel-born, and Immovable: A (Tibetan: ཨཱ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Chinese literal meaning: A), Kham (Tibetan: ཁཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: खं, Sanskrit Romanization: khaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Kham), Bi (Tibetan: བཱི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: बी, Sanskrit Romanization: bī, Chinese literal meaning: Bi), Ra (Tibetan: ར, Sanskrit Devanagari: र, Sanskrit Romanization: ra, Chinese literal meaning: Ra), Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), and with joy, offer the crown or flowers. After that, in the actual introduction ritual, one should explain how to generate certainty through history, and the faults of not obtaining the nature, definition, and classification of empowerment, as well as the benefits of obtaining empowerment, and have them offer a mandala. "If one does not make a request, one will not be born into that lineage." Therefore, one should make the request three times and grant permission. Questions and answers regarding lineage and intention should be conducted in this way. Purifying the continuum with refuge, bodhicitta, and the seven-branch offering should also be done as in the preparatory stage. In general, there are two common vows. In particular, one should explain the nature of the fierce vows of mantra.
