The difference in suffering is: Those who are Punarujjīvana (藏文，梵文天城体，punarujjīvana，revival), due to the force of karma, various weapons appear in their hands, and they strike each other with intense hatred, thinking of each other as enemies. When they faint and fall down due to extreme suffering, a voice comes from the sky saying, "May you be Punarujjīvana (藏文，梵文天城体，punarujjīvana，revival)!" Or a cold wind rises, and they revive again, experiencing intense suffering as before until it is exhausted. For the beings in the Black Line Hell, the hell guards draw four or eight or many black lines on their bodies, and then saw them apart with saws, and chop and cut them with axes and other weapons, without the suffering ever stopping. When the bodies of the beings in the Crushing Hell gather together, the hell guards put them into iron mountains shaped like sheep heads, tiger heads, lion heads, etc., and squeeze them, causing blood to flow from all the pores. When they gather again, they are squeezed like sesame seeds with huge iron hammers, and burning hot iron rocks fall like rain, striking and destroying them, causing them to experience such suffering. When the beings in the Howling Hell, terrified, seek shelter, they see an iron house. As soon as they enter, the door closes, and flames burn inside and out, burning them. They cry out for help but cannot find any, causing them suffering. The Great Howling Hell is similar to the other Howling Hells, except that they are burned as before in a two-story iron house, experiencing extremely intense suffering. The beings in the Cūḍu (藏文，梵文天城体，cūḍu，hot) Hell are pierced through their bodies with countless iron skewers, and burned in the burning flames like roasting fish. Burning iron skewers are inserted from the anus and come out from the top of the head, burning all the internal organs. Flames burn from all the pores. They are thrown onto the red-hot iron ground and beaten with burning iron hammers. The beings in the Extremely Hot Hell are pierced through their bodies with burning three-pronged iron skewers from the anus, coming out from the top of the head and both shoulders, and flames burn from all the pores. Their bodies are wrapped with burning iron plates, and they are cooked like rice in an iron pot, until their flesh and blood rot away, leaving only bones. A fiercely burning fire comes. Its skin, flesh, tendons, bones, and even marrow are burned. Like the wick of a candle, the body and fire burn indistinguishably. One can only utter groans and merely appear as a sentient being. Iron filings are cooked together with burning flames. They are made to climb and descend a great mountain of burning iron. Tongues are pulled out and stretched on a burning iron surface, then hammered with stakes. Skin is peeled off and they are laid supine on a burning iron surface. Tongs are used to pry open their mouths, and molten iron hammers and copper are poured in, burning their mouths, throats, and all internal organs, flowing out from their lower bodies, etc. These sufferings are unbearable. Regarding the differences in lifespan, the Abhidharma states: "Fifty years of humans is one day for the gods of desire. Therefore, their lifespan is five hundred years. The two higher realms are both doubled." It also says: "The six, starting with Revival, are sequentially equal to the lifespan and days of the desire realm gods." Therefore, fifty human years is one day for the Four Great Kings. Calculated in this way, one can live for fifty of their own years. This is entirely transformed into one day in the Revival Hell. Its five hundred years is the lifespan of the Revival Hell, and the number of years in the lower hells increases twofold, and the number of days also increases twofold. Therefore, it should be known that the upper hells are four times that of the lower hells. Secondly, contemplating the suffering of the cold hells, the difference in location is in the darkness without the light of the sun and moon, in valleys filled with snow and ice, where the wind and blizzards are extremely cold. In accordance with the sound of body and speech, the suffering of cold is said to be seven times colder in the lower hells than in the upper hells. The intermediate beings born there see the place of the cold hells, with the appearance of burning in fire. Because of craving for it, they run and are born there. The difference in suffering is: In the Blister Hell, the body is filled with blisters due to the cold of the wind and blizzards, causing them to curl up and suffer.
