Meditating on the wisdom fire that burns inner and outer afflictions intensely, has the merit of being unassailable by harms such as curses and other tangible harms, as well as intangible harms such as diseases and demons. Below that, the four characteristics of Bodhicitta are: the characteristic of whiteness is like the autumn moon, the characteristic of brightness is like a sesame oil lamp, the characteristic of roundness is like a bird's egg, and the characteristic of melting is like sweat. Also, the four characteristics of A ཤད་ (藏文，梵文天城体，梵文罗马拟音，A): the color is red like a cuckoo flower, the light is bright like a sesame oil lamp, the touch is hotter than red-hot iron, and the shape is thin like a copper needle. The sound of fire makes a buzzing, phem phem sound, meditate on it being about four fingers in size.
