In the heart of (Nangtha), visualize a coral-red Ah syllable (藏文：ཨ，梵文天城体：अ，梵文罗马拟音：a，汉语字面意思：Ah). Bless me to recognize dreams as dreams. Bless me to master the self-power of dreams. Bless me to be able to transform in dreams. Bless me to attain freedom in dreams. By sincerely praying to the Lama, Yidam, and Dakini, from the wisdom light of Nangtha, the father and mother, countless red rays of light emanate. The outer world transforms into a divine palace. The inner sentient beings transform into gods and goddesses. The rays of light gather back, purifying the habitual tendencies of my own being. They re-gather and dissolve into the heart of Nangtha. Focus single-pointedly on the bright and radiant Ah (藏文：ཨ，梵文天城体：अ，梵文罗马拟音：a，汉语字面意思：Ah). Homage to Mar Gyal! There are three instructions on luminosity: blending the luminosity of sleep with the Dharmakaya; blending the luminosity of dreams with the Sambhogakaya; and blending the luminosity of wakefulness with the Nirmanakaya. First, blending with the Dharmakaya: carry all the appearances of the day into dreams, and when going to sleep, cast the 'phen pa' (method of projecting consciousness): in the center of the heart chakra, visualize Guru Vajrasattva clearly, the self-arisen father and mother, with a heart filled with radiance, and establish a clear blue Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽) syllable in the heart. Request the blessings to seize luminosity. As in the dream state, practice the gathering and dispersing of blue light rays. While in the state of Mahamudra, entrust awareness to the Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽) and lie down. Whether sleep is light or deep, it will be accounted as virtuous practice. Remaining asleep in a virtuous state for as long as possible is blending the luminosity of sleep with the Dharmakaya. Second, blending the luminosity of dreams with the Sambhogakaya: from within the luminosity of sleep described above, when dream appearances arise, visualize the Sambhogakaya as a rainbow-like form, and remain in equipoise in the illusion-like samadhi for as long as possible. This is blending the luminosity of dreams with the Sambhogakaya. Third, blending the luminosity of wakefulness with the Nirmanakaya: arise after meditating on Vajrasattva in the form of a jnanasattva in the heart. This is blending the luminosity of wakefulness with the Nirmanakaya. In short, the appearances of nighttime dreams should be blended with daytime virtuous practice, and the appearances of daytime virtuous practice should be blended with nighttime dreams. Day and night must be mixed together. If daytime virtuous practice does not enter into nighttime dreams, then the hope of being accounted for virtuous practice in the bardo will be exhausted. By practicing in this way, the luminosity of sleep Dharmakaya and the luminosity of death Dharmakaya become inseparable, and one attains Buddhahood like water poured into water. Even if the appearances of the bardo arise, one will obtain the bardo Sambhogakaya and the rebirth Nirmanakaya, and thus the two benefits will be spontaneously accomplished.
