Above the crossed legs, the wrathful king born from the dark blue Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), Mahākāla who subdues all arrogance, has four faces and four arms, an unpleasant and terrifying form. The right face is white, the left face is red, the middle is dark blue, and the upper face is green. The two right hands hold a curved knife and a sword aloft. The two left hands hold a skull cup of blood and a vajra club. Red and yellow hair is raised upwards, emitting small bursts of anger. Vajra wings are spread out on the left and right. The secret consort, Reti, is bluish-green in color, holding a khaṭvāṅga and a disease bag, embracing the father. She appears amidst a blazing fire of great terror. To the east, from Na arises the Nāga demon with a terrifying form, dark blue, holding a snake lasso and a curved knife in his hands. His hair is raised upwards, and his lower body is coiled into a snake. He wears charnel ground ornaments and is surrounded by arrogant attendants. To the south is Yamarāja, the lord of death, reddish-black, drinking blood from a vajra skull cup and a horn. He wears charnel ground ornaments and rides a yellow-black buffalo, surrounded by a retinue of many extremely terrifying arrogant beings. To the west is Rāhula himself, reddish-black in color, holding a crocodile lasso and a skull cup of blood in his hands. He has a thousand eyes and rides a red-blue crocodile, wears charnel ground ornaments, and is surrounded by arrogant attendants. To the north, from Kṣa arises the rākṣasa, purplish-black, with a sword in his right hand and drinking blood from a horn in his mouth. He wears charnel ground ornaments, with both feet spread in a throwing stance, surrounded by a retinue of many arrogant beings who perform actions. Furthermore, there are the command-abiding arrogant ones and action-performers, as well as flesh-eating butchers, emanations and further emanations. Visualize that from the light of the clear heart, wisdom beings identical to oneself, along with their retinues, are invited. Burn blended incense and play musical instruments. In the midst of the terrifying charnel ground where the fire of the eon rages, Upon the lotus, sun, and moon of the misleading arrogant ones, Subduing all arrogant ones, supreme deity with retinue, In order to accomplish activities, please remain steadfastly! Padma Candra Sūrya Tira Samaya Tiṣṭha Lhan! With this, the request to be seated is sealed with a vow. Then, the procedure of offering: Hūṃ! To the great glorious, powerful, mighty, and sovereign one with retinue, To the untamed, misleading, enemies, and obstructors, The five senses and the five great marrow hearts, A torma adorned with flesh and blood, And great red Rakta Pañca Amrita! Harmonious substances, desired enjoyments beyond comprehension, All actual arrangements, mind-created sacred offerings, I offer to the Dharma-protecting king and retinue! Please accept with the power of compassion and vow, And protect the sacred Buddha's teachings! Sarva Pūja Idam Balimta Kha Kha Khāhi Khāhi! Thus offer! Fifth, the activity of the mantra-protecting mother: Oṃ Mahā Śūnyatā Jñāna Vajra Svabhāva Ātmako'haṃ. From the state of emptiness, in the sky in front, in the center of the great charnel ground, from the syllable yaṃ arises the fire wind of the eon, blazing and swirling in a red-black mass, from the syllable ra arises an ocean of blood, its waves churning. From the syllable keṃ arises a mountain of bones, piled up in a tangled mass, upon which, from the syllable bhrūṃ arises a blazing palace of bhandza, its expanse immeasurable, adorned in the center with all terrifying and fearsome ornaments. Upon a lotus and sun, a seat of enemies and obstructors, from the syllable trag arises a dark purplish substance, completely transformed into the glorious wisdom mother, the mantra-protecting mother, her body dark purplish like dense smoke. One face, two hands, with an extremely wrathful and terrifying form. In the space of her forehead is one wisdom eye, red and round, glaring and staring. Her mouth is wide open, one tusk like a crescent moon pointing downwards. Her tongue is curled, uttering the loud sounds of hūṃ and bhryo, her dark brown hair hanging down, in the center of which one iron hair stands erect. At her heart hangs one breast dripping with nectar. Her right hand raises a field staff above her head, and her left hand displays the heart of an enemy and an iron wolf crossed in a checkerboard pattern.
