Having well generated and integrated the retinue of Napo, and having stimulated the mind-stream through offerings, praises, meditation, and recitations, residing in the midst of blazing wisdom fire as if manifestly present, this proclaiming of the terrifying Hum (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽) sound filling the three thousand worlds, bestows empowerment upon the five places of your heads, so that a stream of wisdom nectar descends from the bodies of the main figures and retinue, entering from the crown of the head, purifying the defilements and habitual tendencies of body, speech, and mind. Meditate on the five protector families adorning the head, swirling upwards from the bottom of the water. Hum (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽)! Behold this extremely terrifying mandala, the complete retinue of Dharma protectors, proclaiming the terrifying Hum (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽) sound filling the three thousand worlds, bestowing empowerment upon the complete Dharma protectors. Om Buddha Maha Kala, Vajra Maha Kala, Ratna Maha Kala, Padma Maha Kala, Karma Maha Kala, Abhisinca Hum Ah (藏文：ཨོཾ་བུདྡྷ་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ༔ བཛྲ་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ༔ རཏྣ་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ༔ པདྨ་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ༔ ཀརྨ་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ༔ ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ་ཨཱ༔), thus placing the vase on the five places of the head, pouring the vase water, and giving a general introduction to the vase empowerment. In the root text: Then the skull cup is placed in the hand, it says. In the notes: Then the empowerment of the skull cup is placed in the hand, it says, therefore holding the secret substance, this skull cup filled with nectar, being the nature of white and red bodhicitta arising from the union of the protector father and mother, the wisdom essence of the five meats, five nectars, and five blood-drinking families, placing it in the hand and tasting it on the tongue, believe that you have received the secret empowerment. Placing the nectar of the skull cup in the hand, Hum (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽)! In the excellent vessel of the skull cup entwined with willow branches, the essence of white and red bodhicitta Heruka, the five nectars are the substances of the five blood-drinking families, relying on them, quickly attain accomplishments, bestow empowerment. Om Maha Kala Sarva Maha Sukha Abhisinca Ah (藏文：ཨོཾ་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ་སརྦ་མ་ཧཱ་སུ་ཁ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཨཱ༔), pouring the nectar and speaking of the realization of the secret empowerment. In the root text: Then the mirror and vermilion are placed in the hand, it says. In the notes: Then the wisdom empowerment is bestowed, marked with a mirror and vermilion, it says, therefore holding the mirror for the meaning of the third empowerment, marked with the letters of the mirror and vermilion, by giving this, believe that all appearances and sounds are united in bliss and emptiness, appearing like reflections in a mirror, and that you have received the empowerment of wisdom. One's own mind, pure like flawless crystal, appearances and sounds are like reflections in a mirror, the complete Dharma protector father
