The main one is, the venerable and holy Buddha said, "The sound of the word Buddha, whether it is a grand sound, a noisy sound, or an important sound, from the very beginning, is without me and mine, without direction or boundary, without grasper or grasped, not being seized, not being indulged, not being placed, not being destroyed, not being separated, that is the flickering awareness that is with you." Machig Labdrön said, "If you don't put anything in your mind, how can you fall into the wrong path? If you don't mistake the thoughtless meditation, there is no doubt about the Dharmakaya enlightenment. Among meditations, this is the best. Completely destroy and abandon concepts." She also said, "Because the mind has no duality, look in a way that cannot be looked at. When you look, you cannot see your own mind. When you see, you do not recognize the meaning of the Dharma nature. Therefore, what needs to be looked at is not even the size of a dust particle." She also said, "If you don't put anything in your mind, habitual tendencies will not arise, and the stages and paths will be completed." Third, the teacher of experiential conviction is, thus, from all the scriptures and oral instructions, it is said that the nature of mind is emptiness and clarity, without grasping, and that it is the true nature of reality. The lama also points it out in this way. When you observe yourself, you find that it is neither something nor nothing, and that anything can appear, so you experience it in an ungraspable, unthinkable, and unspeakable way. That is not a newly arisen, accidental dharma, but the original reality, without error or delusion, and you are convinced of it. As it is also said in the "Praise of Names," "Completely abandon all errors, the wisdom without doubt about the three meanings." Third, cultivating meditation in practical guidance is divided into three parts. First, practicing in equipoise: Before, you have already experienced it yourself, and the lama has also explained its meaning. It is not enough to just understand and experience it. Through practice, you must gain familiarity and stability. In that state, you must practice effortless mindfulness. In a secluded place, in a state without scattered or gathered thoughts and concepts, without fabrication or alteration, abide in emptiness and clarity, without an object of focus. In that state, if thoughts arise, look greatly at what appears, cultivate the natural liberation without trace, and do not grasp anything with your mind for the object that is not focused on, and abide in it. Second, practicing in post-meditation: In the state of understanding that all phenomena appear but are empty of inherent existence, like an illusion

Even during session breaks, maintain mindfulness and awareness, observing and cutting off the four maras. Blend space and wisdom, and repeatedly practice contemplations on impure corpses, as will be explained below. Third, practice in union: The very nature of awareness, free from elaboration and without grasping, arises as the unobstructed play of its own nature, like an illusion. Practice repeatedly in the state of inseparable union of samatha and vipassana, in the clear and empty, ungrasping state of co-emergent wisdom. Second, cutting the four maras in the dharmadhatu: Cut the attachment to objects with obstruction. Cut the attachment to mind without obstruction. Cut the attachment to desire and aversion. Cut the attachment to prideful self. Practice as it is said. Among these, first, the mara of obstruction is the sudden arising of thoughts dependent on external objects such as seeing forms and hearing sounds. If attachment to thoughts arises, it is the mara of obstruction. To cut it, contemplate any object such as enemies and friends, and when feelings of attachment, aversion, sadness, and fear arise in the mind, do not let them control you. Utter ཕཊ྄ཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit phaṭ, meaning "cut") to cut it off sharply, and relax completely in the state of clear emptiness without grasping, and it will be cut. Second, the mara of non-obstruction is the arising of joy or displeasure in the mind, independent of external or internal conditions. Any ordinary thoughts or mental experiences such as fear, joy, boredom, anger, etc., arise. If hope or doubt arises, it is the mara of non-obstruction. To cut it, utter ཕཊ྄ཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit phaṭ, meaning "cut") as before, and rest in the state of non-grasping, and it will be cut. Third, the mara of desire and aversion is the arising of grasping thoughts dependent on the lama and the excellent lineage, the increase of one's own virtuous activities, and the gathering of favorable conditions such as dwellings, possessions, and fame. If feelings of desire, aversion, and happiness arise, it is the mara of desire and aversion. To cut it, utter ཕཊ྄ཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit phaṭ, meaning "cut") and rest in non-grasping, and it will be cut. Fourth, the mara of pride is the arising of any movement of thought. If you cling to it, it is the mara of pride. To cut it, utter ཕཊ྄ཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit phaṭ, meaning "cut") and rest completely in non-grasping, whatever arises, and it will be cut. The three, obstruction, non-obstruction, desire and aversion, are also included here. As it is said in the Kadampa Treasury: Maras are divided into four types: the mara of obstruction and the mara of non-obstruction, desire
