Relying on the necessary items, do your best, thinking of the field as having items and methods, abandoning the four impurities, thereby purifying, and giving with perfect intention and action. The gift of fearlessness is: protecting other beings from disease, poison, weapons, fire, water, wild animals, dangerous paths, prisons, etc. The gift of Dharma is: if you have the ability to teach the Dharma, then teach the Dharma that leads to liberation to those who desire it, without seeking fame and gain. If you do not have the ability, then vow to preach to humans and non-humans, proclaiming the scriptures of the Buddhas. Among the three types of discipline, the discipline of abstaining from evil deeds is: not violating what you have promised, such as the ten non-virtues and other natural transgressions, as well as the seven classes of individual liberation, the two types of Bodhisattva vows, the root and branch vows of tantra, and other prohibited transgressions. The discipline of accumulating virtuous Dharma is: to accomplish all major and minor virtuous deeds related to the three doors of body, speech, and mind to the best of your ability. The discipline of benefiting sentient beings is: as the eleven types mentioned in the Bodhisattva Bhumi, in short, it is to directly or indirectly settle sentient beings in happiness and virtue with a good intention. Among the three types of patience, patience with harm is not taking it to heart: no matter who beats, scolds, robs, slanders, argues, etc., do not become angry, but cultivate loving-kindness instead. Patience with suffering is: when seeking the Dharma and practicing the Dharma, no matter how much heat, cold, hunger, thirst, fatigue, and exhaustion are encountered, do not shrink back even slightly, but generate patience. Decisive faith in the Dharma is: regarding the inconceivable intention and merit of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as the reality of emptiness, and profound methods, when hearing them, do not be afraid or frightened, but generate even more joy. Among the three types of diligence, armored diligence is: for small virtuous deeds, do not despise them thinking they are not needed, for large virtuous deeds, do not be discouraged thinking they cannot be done, for all things that belong to virtue, generate joy and accomplish them. Applied diligence is: when practicing the Dharma and virtuous deeds, do not indulge in laziness and distraction, but continue to do them constantly. Unwavering diligence is: even if benefits and signs do not appear immediately, do not

To strive without interruption until the ultimate result is achieved. Among these, vow to do whatever practice is appropriate for the present situation to the best of one's ability. Second, the explanation of meditation is divided into two parts: the cause of the arising of meditation, and the actual meditation. First, meditation and tranquility (shamatha) are of the same essence, and their cause depends on: the body being secluded from busyness, and the mind being secluded from discursive thoughts. Busyness refers to being distracted by attachment to sentient beings such as children and relatives, gain and honor such as food and wealth, and fame such as praise, and the sutras say that there are twenty faults in this. In particular, it does not allow the mind to abide. Being separated from busyness is solitude, and if one abandons all distractions and dwells alone in a secluded place, meditation will quickly arise in the mindstream, so one should do so. Even when dwelling in solitude, one must abandon non-virtue committed by body and speech, and all distracting actions of unspecified nature. In the mind, one must also abandon the discursive thoughts of afflictions, and all subtle and coarse discursive thoughts that follow the deluded actions of the world, and by abiding single-pointedly in meditation without distraction, the meditation of tranquility will arise in the mindstream. Second, actual meditation is divided into three parts. First, the meditation of abiding in bliss in this very life is the practice of tranquility in which body and mind are extremely tamed. If we take the key points of the current practice, there are two key points: body and mind. Regarding the key point of the body, sit in the vajra posture on a comfortable cushion, place the hands evenly below the navel, straighten the spine, spread the shoulders like the wings of a garuda, press the tongue against the palate, bend the throat to press the Adam's apple, and keep the eyes gazing at the space in front of the tip of the nose, neither too open nor too closed, which is called the seven-point posture of Vairochana. It should be done in a moderate posture that is neither too tight nor too loose. Regarding the key point of the mind, there are two types of practice: practice with support and practice without support. The first is practice with support: in front, display a painted or sculpted image of the noble Tara, whichever it is, it should be well-made and of standard proportions, and focus the mind on it, or it can also be done through visualization. In any case, first establish the key point of the body, exhale three times, and visualize in the space in front of you the venerable one who is inseparable from your root guru.
