Write down the flesh-eater. Whoever is the harmer, seize his life, (Tibetan: ཛཿ, Devanagari: जः, Romanized Sanskrit: jah, Literal Chinese meaning: Abandon); and the gods and demons of the phenomenal world, whoever is the harmer, torment (Tibetan: བཛྲ་སརྦ་དུཥྚཱན་ཏྲིག་ནན།, Devanagari: वज्र सर्व दुष्टान् त्रिक नन्, Romanized Sanskrit: vajra sarva duṣṭān trika nan, Literal Chinese meaning: Vajra, all, evil ones, three, that), seize (Tibetan: ཧུར་ཐུམས་ཛཿ།, Devanagari: हुर् थुम्स् जः, Romanized Sanskrit: hur thums jah, Literal Chinese meaning: Hur, devour, abandon), kill (Tibetan: མཱ་ར་ཡ་རྦད།, Devanagari: मारय र्बद्, Romanized Sanskrit: maraya rbad, Literal Chinese meaning: Kill, destroy). Also torment the life of the harmer's friend and (the harmer) himself. If it is a person, (the friend) is the five deities; if it is a Bonpo, then include the guardian deities. Whoever is the harmer, smear with the object on which the soul relies; the six impurities—feces, urine, saliva, snot, hair, clothes, and footprints—smear on the effigy, without mixing them up. These (impurities)' key letters exist inherently, write them in their respective places. That is to say, because there are three lives, the life of remembrance (i.e.) the name is written at the hairline of the forehead. This is the universally applicable case, write on the crown of the head—(Tibetan: སརྦ་དུཥྚཱན།, Devanagari: सर्व दुष्टान्, Romanized Sanskrit: sarva duṣṭān, Literal Chinese meaning: All evil ones); of the Lord of Death. Therefore, the name is needed. The tormentor is on the crown of the head (Tibetan: ཏྲིག་ནན།, Devanagari: त्रिक नन्, Romanized Sanskrit: trika nan, Literal Chinese meaning: Three, that), the seizer is the three of body, speech, and mind. Hur is on the crown of the head, devour is in the mouth, (Tibetan: ཛཿ, Devanagari: जः, Romanized Sanskrit: jah, Literal Chinese meaning: Abandon) is in the heart. Cut it off, write on the four limbs—on the left sole write (Tibetan: མཱ།, Devanagari: मा, Romanized Sanskrit: ma, Literal Chinese meaning: No), on the right sole write (Tibetan: ར།, Devanagari: र, Romanized Sanskrit: ra, Literal Chinese meaning: Fire), on the right palm write (Tibetan: ཡ།, Devanagari: य, Romanized Sanskrit: ya, Literal Chinese meaning: Go), on the left palm write (Tibetan: རྦད་, Devanagari: र्बद्, Romanized Sanskrit: rbad, Literal Chinese meaning: Destroy). These are the key letters and the place where the life is placed, and also the letters of power, like this, place them on all effigies. This is what is needed. That is to say, if performing on a ghost, then in the abdominal cavity; write down the place and residence where the ghost is, and the ghost itself. Write the ghost's name on the thigh. If performing on an enemy, then on the forehead write the enemy's surname, and in the heart surround the name with (Tibetan: ཛཿ, Devanagari: जः, Romanized Sanskrit: jah, Literal Chinese meaning: Abandon) (Tibetan: ནྲྀཿ, Devanagari: नृः, Romanized Sanskrit: nrih, Literal Chinese meaning: Man)—for ordinary people write the real name, for monks write the Dharma name, for mantra practitioners write the secret name. In the navel, write the place of destruction of the body's growth. Surround (Tibetan: ནྲྀ་, Devanagari: नृ, Romanized Sanskrit: nri, Literal Chinese meaning: Man) with the four syllables (Tibetan: མཱ་ར་ཡ་རྦད་, Devanagari: मारय र्बद्, Romanized Sanskrit: maraya rbad, Literal Chinese meaning: Kill, destroy). At its end, write the name of the enemy's place and village, and the enemy's "son of so-and-so" name, until "named so-and-so," do not confuse the parents, etc., this is the key. On the right waist write the enemy's year, on the left waist write "so-and-so's uncle," etc., cut off the right waist with (Tibetan: རྦད་, Devanagari: र्बद्, Romanized Sanskrit: rbad, Literal Chinese meaning: Destroy), and the left waist with (Tibetan: རྦུད་, Devanagari: र्बुद्, Romanized Sanskrit: rbud, Literal Chinese meaning: Destroy). On the thigh write the name of the enemy's soul. After writing "self is the enemy's life," on the four limbs write the four letters of summoning, binding, restraining, and dissolving, which are (Tibetan: ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ, Devanagari: जः हुं वं होः, Romanized Sanskrit: jah hum vam hoh, Literal Chinese meaning: Abandon, Hum, Vam, Hoh). At the end of the effigy, write (Tibetan: ཛ་ཛ་, Devanagari: ज ज, Romanized Sanskrit: ja ja, Literal Chinese meaning: Abandon, abandon) many times to summon. At its end, turn the head of the letter inward, the enemy
