If the pain lessens and the appetite is good, it means life. Regarding the signs of death: loss of appetite, mucus coming from the nostrils, and short breaths mean death. Similar to all common symptoms, especially the symptoms of short pain: because the inside is black, there is pain in the chest or under the armpits, and red, yellow, and brownish-black phlegm will be coughed up. Headache, yellow eye cloud, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, hoarse voice, severe pain, and watery fluid will flow out, and one will speak nonsense. There are three methods of treatment: preliminary, main, and subsequent. Decoction of Smilax glabra, Swertia chirata, Coptis chinensis, and Adhatoda vasica should be taken. The main part is to know the internal medicine according to the medical text. The Smilax glabra decoction should be taken regularly. During the period of taking the medicine, do not take other nutrients, but drink butter tea and newly brewed wine. Be careful. Coughing will occur after six or seven days. If the pain lessens, drink garlic broth. Saffron, zedoary, cardamom, licorice, and honey are mixed together, and pills can be made to eliminate fever. Bleeding before curing the disease will cause great harm, so check carefully. If the blood vessel pain is severe, cut the vein at the tip of the little finger. For those who have been kicked by a horse or fallen into a cliff, take Adhatoda vasica and borneol. Use a laxative to drain the malignant disease downwards.
