Wisdom. When emptiness merges into the secret place, and bodhicitta descends into the heart, it is the wisdom of supreme joy. When it descends into the navel, it is the wisdom of separation from joy. When it descends into the secret place, and the tip of the father's vajra jewel and the beautiful place of the mother's lotus descend into the crown chakra, it is the co-emergent wisdom. These are the four joys of ascending, so be sure to recognize each one and rest in its own nature. Then, the bodhicitta, at the tip of the father and mother's respective empty secret places, is held with the power of unwavering wind. Again, it is raised upwards by the wind with the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum). From the secret place to the navel, the wisdom of joy is manifested. The thirty-three conceptualizations arising from hatred cease. From the navel to the heart, the wisdom of supreme joy is manifested. The forty conceptualizations arising from desire cease. From the heart to the throat, the wisdom of separation from joy is manifested. The seven conceptualizations arising from ignorance cease. From the throat to the crown chakra, the co-emergent wisdom is manifested. The eighty self-nature conceptualizations, together with their habitual tendencies, cease, pervading the entire body, and the samadhi of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality arises. Experience transcends thought. The realization of the Buddha's intention, the wisdom of the Great Seal of the reality of things, is just that, so be sure to recognize it and rest in it. This is the introduction to the four joys of descending stability. Tonight, for you fortunate ones, the intention of Samantabhadra Medicine Buddha has been entrusted to you. For forcibly liberating from samsara, generate great joy. Thus, in the mandala of the mudra lotus, you have received the empowerment of wisdom and knowledge. The defilements of the mind are purified. You have the authority to practice the path of the messenger. The seeds for obtaining the fruit, the Dharmakaya, have been planted in your lineage. The third is the empowerment of discriminating wisdom. In order to request the fourth empowerment, the empowerment of discriminating wisdom, visualize offering all of your nine possessions and offer the mandala. Recite this prayer: Kyeho! To the kind lama without beginning! I offer my body and possessions as offerings. In this unchanging palace of great bliss. Please grant me the true essence. Three times. The lama hands the empowerment object, the vajra and bell, into your hands. In front, place a mirror and allow the image of Manjushri to appear.
