Having ascertained the reality that is free from the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding, and which possesses the essence of clear and empty awareness, whatever arises, its own nature cannot be adorned by goodness nor can it be defiled by evil. Without needing to correct, tamper, reduce, or add, it is self-aware and self-liberated, and one is certain of this. The actual practice of the stages of shamatha and vipashyana: rtsyo rtsyo (藏文), ra pa zha (藏文), gya gya gya (藏文). May I meet with fortunate ones who possess wisdom, compassion, and diligence! The second of the root, the introduction to co-emergent wisdom, stainless, self-luminous, and nakedly apparent, has three parts: introducing mind itself as co-emergent, introducing thoughts as co-emergent wisdom, and introducing appearances as co-emergent wisdom. First: At the time of introduction, in a secluded place, arrange a tsok offering and excellent offerings to the lama, yidam, and dakini. Offer a mandala, golden flowers, and other offerings as you are able to the teacher. The student should single-mindedly perform guru yoga and prayers. Have them practice samadhi as before. Oh, when your mind is left uncorrected in its own state, all the arising of thoughts naturally subsides, and it abides in its own state, that is called shamatha. In that state, without falling into non-conceptuality, the essence of mind, which is the self-aware knowing that transcends the realm of speech, thought, and expression, clear and bright, that is called vipashyana. In reality, there is no difference between that shamatha and that vipashyana. That shamatha is also the vipashyana of self-aware, self-luminous, without any grasping. That vipashyana also abides in its natural state, unpolluted by the characteristics of thoughts, and that is also shamatha. Therefore, it is the union of shamatha and vipashyana, perfected on the instant of mind. This is the intention of the Buddha, the mind of sentient beings, co-emergent wisdom, stainless, self-luminous, nakedly seen. The essence of all sutras, tantras, shastras, and pith instructions flows into this. Second, introducing thoughts as co-emergent wisdom: Again, the essence of mind is clear, empty, and naked, and when thoughts of happiness and suffering arise, the essence of those thoughts is also clear, empty, and naked, without any grasping. Or, observe whether it is no different from the nature of mind. Thoughts need not be abandoned, and the essence need not be deliberately cultivated. The very moment a thought is clear and bright, abiding in clear, empty nakedness, that is co-emergent thought.

ra pā zha(藏文,梵文天城体:र पा झ,梵文罗马拟音:ra pā jha,汉语字面意思:ra pā zha)!

Seeing the self-nature of the ground, or the arising of conceptual thoughts as the Dharmakaya. As before, when cutting off the root of conceptualization and severing the root of transformation, there is nothing other than the single mind of self-awareness and self-illumination, like the example of water and waves. Thus, if conceptual thought arises, then rest in the arising itself; if it does not arise, then rest in its own natural state of non-arising. Do not be partial to transformation, but understand that this conceptual thought is distinguished by reason. Third, introducing appearance as co-emergent wisdom: When looking at the appearance of external objects such as mountains, fences, houses, etc., is that appearance clear emptiness without grasping? Is the nature of mind clear emptiness? If you examine the difference between these two, then the appearance itself, without needing to disappear or be blocked, the clear emptiness without grasping while appearing is recognizing the gap in appearance. As before, cutting off the imputation of appearance, appearance is not outside, mind itself is not inside, the clear emptiness of mind is the appearance, there is nothing else besides that, like the realm of dreams and awareness. This nakedness of appearance without grasping is seeing the self-nature of co-emergent existence and peace, or the arising as the Dharmakaya. Therefore, emptiness has no benefit, appearance has no harm, understanding that appearance and emptiness are inseparable, if appearance arises, then at the time of appearance, if emptiness arises, then at the time of emptiness, transform whatever arises into practice, and having arrived through practice, all of existence and peace is the Dharmakaya Mahamudra, so transform whatever appears into the path. ra pā zha(Tibetan, Devanagari: र पा झ, Romanized Sanskrit: ra pā jha, Literal Chinese meaning: ra pā zha)! Third, the order of subsequent practice: In this way, raise the height like the sky, and rest in the vastness of appearance; expand the breadth like the earth, and rest in the vastness of mindfulness; be stable and immovable like a mountain; be clear and pure like a lamp, clear and bright; like a flawless crystal, rest in the non-conceptual, clear state. Furthermore, distinguish the obstacles and errors of practice: Although you understand and can explain the meaning of Shamatha-Vipassana, if it does not match your own experience, then you have fallen into the habit of knowledge; not knowing that the fruit of the inseparability of the path and fruit is inherent, and now hoping for another fruit, then you have fallen into the path; not knowing that what should be abandoned and the antidote are inseparable, and grasping them as separate, then you have fallen into the antidote; the nature of the inseparability of clarity and emptiness
