In the subsequent forceful mantra practice, which is like a weapon, two meanings are taught: the general activity for all enemies and obstacles, and the specific activity. First, in the general activity for all enemies, there are two methods: preparation and application. The preparation method is: gather fierce substances such as those burned by fire, and make a three-cornered puri, one span high, with nine layers, and hollow inside. Below, make a three-cornered container, one foot high, with a mouth facing up and filled with mud. Both the puri and the three-cornered container should be painted black on the outside with blood, poison water, and ashes from a cemetery. The inside should be painted red with blood and cinnabar. The mouth of the three-cornered container should be surrounded by thorns. Make a hole in the mouth of the black puri. Write the complete fierce mantra on a one-foot-long black thorn peg. Meditate on the peg as Hayagriva. Perform blessing, consecration, and empowerment. Insert the puri into the hole in the mouth. Then, make a linga for whatever enemy or obstacle you are targeting, according to their respective forms. If you are targeting a witch or an enemy, write bone on the forehead, and surround the heart with the name and the syllable Nṛ (藏文：ནྲྀ་，梵文天城体：नृ，梵文罗马拟音：nṛ，汉语字面意思：人). Surround the heart with Tri (藏文：ཏྲི་，梵文天城体：त्रि，梵文罗马拟音：tri，汉语字面意思：扎) and Khug ja jaḥ. On the navel, write Māraya rbad (藏文：མཱ་ར་ཡ་རྦད།，梵文天城体：मारय र्बद，梵文罗马拟音：māraya rbad，汉语字面意思：杀 惹巴). On the limbs, write Chiṃs shig jaḥ hūṃ vaṃ hoḥ. Write as above. In particular, below Tri (藏文：ཏྲི་，梵文天城体：त्रि，梵文罗马拟音：tri，汉语字面意思：扎) in the heart, write Tsa for a king, Ya for Yama, Ma for a Mamo, Du for a demon, Ru for a Tsen, Sha for a Yaksha, Ra for a planet, and Tri (藏文：ཏྲི་，梵文天城体：त्रि，梵文罗马拟音：tri，汉语字面意思：扎) alone is sufficient for all demons. Surround the linga with mantras as before. Then, with the pride of Hayagriva, make many statements of truth. Invoke the enemy or obstacle and repeatedly dissolve them into the linga, placing them face up inside the triangular container with their heads facing you. Make and place twenty-two lingas. After the activity is completed, burn twenty-one of them, and place one in the skull of the respective container for the linga, and bury it with the ashes of the burnt offering in the respective place of suppression, as described in the text. Arrange a red flesh and blood torma in a fierce vessel. Place heart-shaped ornaments and silk ribbons on it. In front of it, arrange the five offerings, medicine, alcohol, and substitute tormas. The second part is entering: offer clean tormas to the guardians of the directions, the local deities, and the earth lords. Entreat them to be companions in accomplishing fierce activities. Give commands such as these. Perform the seven-part ritual of offering, praising, fulfilling, confessing, and empowering to the Protector, as in the seventh stage. Sever the boundaries of body, speech, and mind firmly. By firmly binding the boundary of the body, do not meet with people. By firmly binding the boundary of speech, do not speak with others. By firmly binding the boundary of mind, do not be distracted for even a moment, but strive for samadhi and fierce mantras, raising awareness like a spear. Divide one day into six sessions, and at the beginning of each session, perform refuge, bodhicitta, self-generation, and so on. Then, with the pride of a wrathful deity, emanate many small wrathful ones holding hammers and iron hooks from your body. With the iron hook holders, seize the hearts of all enemies, obstacles, and sorcerers. With the hammer holders, smash and beat their heads, forcing them involuntarily into the lingam within the triangle. Offer incense substances to the deities, and visualize the triangle in front as a deep, black, molten iron frame without doors, in which the target is actually trapped and cannot escape anywhere. Visualize the black puri above as a layer of extremely towering and majestic Mount Meru of meteoric iron, filled with countless armies of yakshas, arrogant ones, and the eight classes of beings. The peg of the puri is a terrifying black wrathful deity, with one face and two arms. The right hand holds aloft a sword to liberate, and the left hand holds a hook to bind at the heart. The mouth is open and the tongue is rolled, with four fangs bared. The three eyes are wide open, and the brow is furrowed in wrath. He has blazing meteoric iron hair. On the crown of his head is a green horse head, neighing into the expanse of the sky. He is adorned with five dry skulls on his head, a necklace of fresh wet skulls, and a field skin upper garment between the body hairs.
