Meditate by looking and closing the eyes, by looking at the blue sky during the day and the pitch-black darkness at night. Prioritize comfort and avoid distraction. If excessive thoughts arise and you feel annoyed, it's because you had thoughts before but didn't recognize them. Now, relying on the guru's instructions, having grasped the essence of meditation, like smoke appearing before a fire, recognize the increase in thoughts and feel joyful. Gradually, thoughts will decrease, and eventually you'll abide in a state of non-thought, which means you've grasped the essence of meditation. Secondly, how to cultivate or enhance it? The aforementioned settling of the mind is like a general foundation, while the specific tightening is like the mind of someone threatened by the king's law, saying that if the sesame oil in the container spills, they will be killed. In essence, it means completely cutting off the continuation of thoughts and focusing single-pointedly on undistracted awareness. The intermediate state is like a cowherd tending cattle, balancing gentleness and harshness. Don't loosen the mind too much, but keep it naturally undistracted. Loosening is like releasing a crow from a pond in the ocean, letting the mind rest as it pleases, thereby cultivating its own nature. Meditate on these three, prioritizing comfort. The nature of awareness is unborn, unceasing, and unlocalized, without any inherent existence of form, color, etc., empty of any entity, not even a nihilistic emptiness, but the emptiness of self-luminous nature, cultivating the Bodhicitta without distraction. There is no fixed order, but rather it follows the individual's mind. In short, at all times, whatever thoughts arise, like Walpo (a place name) without leaving a trace, in the empty and clear nature of mind, without clinging, recognizing the self-nature that cannot be found anywhere. When dissolving, don't become dull; when tightening, don't be defiled by antidotes; awareness shouldn't turn into thoughts; when clear, don't be distracted; relax, be comfortable, and continuously cultivate in equanimity. This is the ultimate essence of the instructions. The intention of the noble Songtsen Gampo, the essence of the instructions on the transference of the luminous nature of reality, is also taught in these key points. Furthermore, alternate between looking up and down, and varying the volume and tone of speech. In crowded or solitary places, whether walking fast or slow, in all situations, and when great joy, happiness, pain, or afflictions arise in the mind, cultivate awareness in its natural state and observe. Good or bad experiences, favorable or unfavorable circumstances

Do not generate thoughts of liking or disliking mixing or not mixing. Third, introducing the nature of mind as the great union of body and wisdom: The nature of mind abides in its own nature, free from the extremes of arising, ceasing, and abiding, self-aware and unwavering. All phenomena such as abiding and moving are equal in the essence of mind. All phenomena of samsara and nirvana, without needing to be sought, are spontaneously perfect, and recognizing one's own nature in the self-aware miraculous display is called meeting the self-face of the Dharmakaya. There is no other Dharmakaya to be sought beyond that. Moreover, the nature of mind is the emptiness Dharmakaya that transcends the realm of speech, thought, and analogy. Its own radiance is uninterrupted, and the clarity that allows all phenomena to arise is the Nirmanakaya. The essence of the union of these two, the stainless bliss that appears, is the Sambhogakaya. The nature of all these, which is indivisible and inseparable, is the Svabhavikakaya. This is the precious lotus jewel of ultimate truth, which is Mani Padme. (Tibetan: མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: मणि पद्मे, Sanskrit Romanization: maṇi padme, Literal Chinese meaning: Lotus Jewel) Furthermore, the unchanging ultimate great bliss, the all-pervading precious jewel, abides in the womb of the lotus of emptiness and dharmata. This is the great secret of all Buddhas, which is Evam Aham (Tibetan: ཨེ་ཝཾ་ཨ་ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: एवं अहं, Sanskrit Romanization: evaṃ ahaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Thus I), Ali Kali (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ལི་ཀཱ་ལི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: आलि कालि, Sanskrit Romanization: āli kāli, Literal Chinese meaning: Ali Kali), Vajra Lotus Sun and Moon Mandala, Primordial Buddha Lion Throne, etc. All phenomena of the union of the two truths, skillful means and wisdom, shamatha and vipashyana, emptiness and compassion, are transformed into the nature of Mani Padme. The syllable Om is the five wisdoms of the appearance of skillful means, and the syllable Hum is the five wisdoms of emptiness and wisdom. It should be known that it possesses the nature of ten wisdoms. These profound and vast meanings should be explained in detail by the oral instructions of the guru. Moreover, using the temporary state as the path: Recognizing the luminosity of the non-conceptual self-nature in ordinary consciousness is the essence of all profound inner meanings, Madhyamaka mind, Chod, profound clarity, and the introduction of Mahamudra and Dzogchen. Recognize and familiarize yourself with it, and always do not be distracted, and do not separate from the practice of non-meditation. Fourth, removing obstacles: Before fully realizing the nature of the introduction as it is, one must be skilled in removing obstacles. In short: When drowsy, straighten the body, raise the gaze, and rely on coolness. When scattered, prostrate and circumambulate the guru or a special object of refuge. Dim
