At the throat, visualize a red lotus marked with Āḥ (藏文：ཨཱཿ，梵文天城体：आ，梵文罗马拟音：āḥ，汉语字面意思：Ah). At the heart, visualize a blue vajra marked with Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हु，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：Hum). Below that, at the center of a six-petaled lotus, visualize a white Hrīḥ (藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：Hrih) and each of the six petals marked with one syllable of the six-syllable mantra. The vase empowerment ripens the body, the secret empowerment ripens the speech, the wisdom empowerment ripens the mind, and the outer deity empowerment is bestowed on the body, the inner dharma empowerment on the speech, and the secret awareness skill empowerment on the mind. After establishing the basis for empowerment with these, please offer the mandala as the fee for requesting the actual empowerment. Offer the mandala. Empowerment The actual empowerment has six aspects, the first of which is ripening the body with the outer vase empowerment. The symbolic vase is the mandala of the victorious ones of body empowerment. The vase of meaning that it symbolizes is the single essence of mind itself. Here, it is the symbolic vase of representation. The reason the vase is round is a symbol of the Dharmakaya being free from elaboration; the vase ornaments are complete with various qualities, symbolizing the Sambhogakaya being complete with marks and signs; the vase water and substances symbolize the Nirmanakaya performing benefit for beings. Such a vase, complete with characteristics, is a treasure trove of blessings that spontaneously accomplishes all the deities of Avalokiteshvara's mandala without omission. Just by placing it on the crown of your heads, streams of wisdom nectar will descend from the bodies of all the deities, enter your Brahma aperture, fill your entire body, purify all obscurations of karma and afflictions, and generate faith and certainty that are inseparable from the body, speech, and mind of the noble ones.
