The conduct like the sun is: Just as the sun's rays are equal to all without near or far, the conduct of great compassion towards all sentient beings of the six realms should be equal and universally beneficial to all without near or far and partiality. Second, like a mother loving her only child, loving all with affection: Just as a mother who has only one child cherishes that child in her heart with affection no matter what the child does, and everything she does is for the sake of that only child, so too, all sentient beings should be cherished in the depths of one's heart, never abandoned, and everything one does in this life should be for the benefit of others. Third, like a ferryman saving beings with skillful means: For example, just as a ferryman himself has not reached the other shore of the river, and is not able to save others from the water by his own power, but is able to save himself and all the guests from the great river by means of boats, rafts, planks, and other methods and tools, so too, one should not remain in the idea that one must first transcend samsara oneself before wanting to save sentient beings, without having liberated oneself from samsara. Instead, one should visualize oneself as the body of great compassion, which liberates from samsara merely by remembering one's body. One should recite the six-syllable mantra (oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ) which is able to protect from samsara merely by reciting it with one's mouth. One should contemplate in one's mind the nature of great compassion, which is able to cut off samsara, without wavering from the state of the uncontrived nature of reality, and by showing only these three methods to all sentient beings, one should strive to liberate oneself and others together from samsara. Fourth, there are three aspects of the result. First, the Dharmakaya is insubstantial like the sky: For example, just as the sky does not consist of any form or color, yet it appears to all, so too, the Dharmakaya of one's own mind does not consist of any substance or characteristics, yet it possesses the eighteen unmixed qualities, and all of samsara and nirvana are enlightened in the vast expanse of the Dharmakaya, in the realm of a single bindu. Second, the Sambhogakaya is like the sun, moon, and stars: Just as the sky itself has no conceptualization, yet the sun, moon, planets, and stars appear as ornaments of the sky, so too, the Dharmakaya is without conceptualization like the sky, yet the Sambhogakaya, endowed with the five certainties and adorned with marks and signs, appears as an ornament of the Dharmakaya, benefiting Bodhisattvas.

Even though I have no conceptualization, I teach the Dharma to the retinue. Third, like the emanation of light rays, just as the light rays of the sun and moon dispel all darkness, the emanation body that tames whatever needs to be tamed, for the benefit of all limitless beings of the three realms, high, low, and intermediate, acts without partiality or interruption. Such five aspects of the nameless Dzogrim, when condensed into a single whole, all the eighteen emptinesses of the Paramita Vehicle, the six Paramitas, the three doors of liberation, etc., are inseparable from and gathered into one with the self-mind, great compassion, free from elaboration, the nature of reality, suchness, great emptiness. The five aspects of Mahamudra view, meditation, conduct, result, and practice are also inseparable from and gathered into one with the self-mind, great compassion, uncorrected, naturally relaxed, and free. The ten meanings of Dzogchen are also inseparable from and gathered into one with the self-mind, great compassion, uncorrected, the spontaneously arisen wisdom, all qualities without incompleteness, effortless, the Great Perfection. The Great Madhyamaka, the inseparability of the two truths, is also inseparable from and gathered into one with the self-mind, great compassion, without bias or extremes, transcending the terms, thoughts, and examinations of self and other. The four aspects of great compassion, one's own intention, view, meditation, conduct, and result, are also inseparable from and gathered into one with the self-mind, great compassion, unfabricated, spontaneously accomplished, the basis view free from elaboration, practiced on the path, the result liberated on the ground, conduct free from acceptance and rejection, and nothing separate from that. Thus, the five aspects of the nameless Dzogrim are as explained in the Royal Command. Because the introduction and practice are taught concisely and simultaneously, it is important for the lama to instruct the disciple, without deviating from these meanings, with whatever convenient words, from the basis of his own experience, to definitely instill certainty in the disciple. The lama, without experience, only speaks empty words of learning and reasoning, mixing them with the path of outward-looking speculation. The disciple, not engaging in practice, but flaunting his knowledge of scriptures, boasting of his attainments and knowledge, thus turning the Dharma into hypocrisy and pretense, the Dharma practitioners of today fill the earth, but there is not even a trace of Dharma, such a thing has happened, it is truly thought-provoking.
