It is the true conventional truth. First, the false conventional truth is: the wrong views of non-Buddhists that contradict the true meaning, namely the two extremes of permanence and annihilation, and the twenty views of the aggregates. The wrong knowledge of ordinary people, clinging to self and what belongs to self, is the root of endlessly wandering in samsara. Second, the true conventional truth is like illusion and dream. In illusion and dream, everything that appears to be true, permanent, and existent, when the illusion is dispelled or when awakened from sleep, none of them are truly existent. However, just as something appears there, all phenomena encompassed by samsara and nirvana, although in reality they do not have inherent existence, appear merely as names, symbols, and conventions. Moreover, it is free from all elaborations of existence and non-existence, being and non-being. Therefore, appearance-emptiness, clarity-emptiness, bliss-emptiness, awareness-emptiness, experience-emptiness, sensation-emptiness, and so forth, as well as non-conceptualization, self-emptiness, other-emptiness, and so forth, all the names, terms, and concepts attributed to the elaboration of non-elaboration, in essence, do not go beyond the true conventional truth. Similarly, suchness, emptiness, the realm of phenomena, non-elaboration, and so forth, are also mere verbal expressions that are not ultimately true. All of these are for the sake of realizing the ultimate truth, like a finger pointing at the moon, therefore it is called the true conventional truth. Second, the ultimate truth is: beyond the realm of the mind, free from names, words, and expressions, impossible to be reached by the wisdom of worldly speculation. In reality, it transcends all objects of expression, being inexpressible, unthinkable, and unutterable. Unborn and unceasing. It can only be experienced by one's own wisdom, and cannot be understood or expressed by any other condition, this is the nature of the Dharmakaya. Although it has no conceptual thought, it benefits beings through the two forms of the Rupakaya due to the power of karma and aspiration, just like a wish-fulfilling jewel has no conceptual thought, but if offered and prayed to, it fulfills desires. Fifth, the intention of the Great Compassion itself has four aspects: view, meditation, conduct, and result. First, the view has three aspects. First, just as the sky has no limits of "this is pervaded, this is not pervaded," the mind of Great Compassion, through the true meaning of the Dharma nature, pervades all sentient beings of the six realms.

Being equally present and without difference is like the sky pervading all compassion. Secondly, it is like a treasure in a poor man's house that produces all necessities, but because he does not know about it, he leaves the treasure in his own house and, being poor, is busy searching and striving elsewhere. Similarly, having abandoned the great compassionate heart, the Dharmakaya, the great peace, is present in one's own continuum, but without knowing it, one strives for the state of heaven, liberation, and nirvana. Those who seek in various ways and strive in vain, causing themselves suffering, are like the treasure in a poor man's house, whose essence is self-secret and cannot be attained by means. Thirdly, it is like a poor man who did not know there was a treasure in his house, but later obtained a catalog or was introduced by someone who knew, saying that there was such a thing here, and then enjoyed the treasure, becoming like the enjoyment of a universal monarch. Similarly, the great compassionate heart, the great wisdom, is originally present in one's own mind, and through the introduction of the lama, one does not need to strive to cultivate the great compassionate heart separately, but gains the conviction and experience of knowing that one is originally the great compassionate heart, so one does not expect to attain Buddhahood upwards, nor does one fear wandering in samsara downwards. Secondly, there are also three aspects to meditation. First, the intention of the great compassionate heart is clear to oneself, like a face in a mirror: the image in the mirror is one's own face appearing in the mirror, and is no different from one's own face. Similarly, the so-called clear and undiminished heart of the great compassionate heart means that when one realizes the nature of one's own mind, it is also said to be the realization of the heart of the great compassionate heart, but in reality it is the realization of one's own mind. Secondly, the clear heart of the great compassionate heart is without fixation, like a rainbow in the sky: like a rainbow appearing in the sky, its form is clear and bright, and full of radiance. Similarly, the nature of one's own mind is clear and has the experience of emptiness, which is the nature of the heart of the great compassionate heart. Thirdly, clear but without conceptualization, like a butter lamp: like a butter lamp itself is clear and has heat. Similarly, the nature of the base of one's own mind is clear and has heat and radiance, without falling into dullness and agitation, without being disturbed by wandering thoughts, but clear and bright, abiding serenely, this is the nature of the heart of the great compassionate heart. Thirdly, there are also three aspects to conduct. Compassion is equal to all.
