First, the view of Great Compassion. Second, establishing the six aggregates as self-liberated means: when forms are seen by the eye consciousness, attachment arises towards the pleasant, and aversion arises towards the unpleasant, but without doing so, they arise and dissolve on their own. Similarly, sounds heard by the ear consciousness, pleasant and unpleasant; smells smelled by the nose consciousness, fragrant and unfragrant; tastes tasted by the tongue consciousness, good and bad; tactile sensations touched by the body consciousness, soft and rough; what is felt by the mind consciousness, joy and displeasure, without attachment or aversion to all of these, they arise and dissolve on their own. No matter how they arise, no matter how they dissolve, the grasping of the six aggregates is all mind. The essence of mind abiding in emptiness is the practice of Great Compassion. Third, establishing conditioned appearances as self-liberated means: holding onto relatives with love is also one's own mind. Since the mind is empty, closeness and intimacy are also not established, so they arise and dissolve on their own. Even when encountering enemies with hatred, holding onto hatred is one's own mind. Since the mind is empty, hatred towards enemies is also not established, so appearances self-liberate. Teaching and not teaching, knowing and not knowing, attachment and hatred, birth and not birth, joy and displeasure, appearing as equanimity, etc., all are one's own mind. Since the mind is empty, none of these are established as grasper and grasped, so they arise and dissolve on their own. Seeing gold and turquoise as desirable, and seeing earth and stones as undesirable, the seer is the mind. Since the mind is empty, desirable and undesirable, etc., all arise and dissolve on their own. No matter what conditioned appearances arise, they arise without obstruction. When non-grasping awareness dissolves into its own place, that is the activity of Great Compassion. Thus, by taking the daytime into the path, the thought of Great Compassion is continuous. Second, taking the nighttime into the path has three aspects: taking sleep into the path in the evening, taking dreams into the path at midnight, and taking clarity and emptiness into the path upon waking at dawn. First, taking sleep into the path in the evening has three aspects: establishing sleep as the three kayas: nirmanakaya, sambhogakaya, and dharmakaya. First, establishing sleep as nirmanakaya: when sleepiness comes and consciousness becomes hazy and dim, gather all the scattered consciousness, concentrate it in one place, and abide there. Second, establishing sleep as sambhogakaya: when sleepiness comes, visualize yourself clearly as Great Compassion, and fix your mind without distraction on a single white bindu at the brow. Third, establishing sleep as dharmakaya.

Is. Sleep In deep, dreamless sleep, when thought is absent and the six consciousnesses have not ceased, and one rests in a state of non-grasping, this is the Dharmakaya. If a dream occurs, do not follow it out of delusion, but let it arise and dissolve naturally, resting in non-grasping. This is a mixture of sleep and meditation. Therefore, at the time of death, when the breath stops and consciousness becomes dazed and clears, the arising of clear light will be impossible to not recognize. Thus, there will be no appearance of the bardo, and one will attain Buddhahood directly in the Dharmakaya. Secondly, there are three ways to take dreams as the path at midnight: recognizing dreams, purifying dreams, and meditating on deities and reciting mantras in dreams. First, recognizing dreams: Before falling asleep, repeatedly and strongly wish and think, "I must recognize dreams." In this way, as soon as you dream, you will immediately recognize and grasp that it is a dream. Second, purifying dreams: Be certain that there is not even a particle of grasping at things as real in dreams. Everything is a delusion of your own mind, so you can do whatever you want. In this way, whatever appearances of happiness or suffering arise in the dream, they will arise and dissolve naturally. Furthermore, if you like, you can perform transformations, change realms, purify lands, etc., thinking that they can appear as if coming from outside. Even if you don't do them, there is no fault of breaking vows, as it is not mentioned in the Kadampa scriptures. Third, meditating on deities and reciting mantras in dreams: As soon as you recognize that it is a dream, think, "This is a dream, my body transforms into the holy body of a deity, and my speech transforms into mantra." Then, in an instant, visualize your body as Avalokiteśvara and remember and recite "Om Mani Padme Hum" (藏文:ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओँ मणि पद्मे हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡 嘛呢 贝美 吽). Even if you don't recognize the dream, but recognize it as a delusion, it is still an appearance of wisdom, and it will be much clearer than daytime appearances. In this way, if you continuously remember deities and mantras in dreams without effort, then it is impossible not to remember them in the bardo. Because in the bardo of existence, there is no substantial body, only a body of mental appearances, it will be a hundred or a thousand times clearer than now. It is impossible not to remember deities and mantras, so there is no need to doubt that you will definitely be liberated in the bardo. Third, taking clear light and emptiness as the path after waking up at dawn: When dreaming, dreams seem real, but after waking up, everything appears as clear and empty, without root or source. It is impossible to grasp any dream as real. Daytime appearances are also just appearances and delusions.
