The illusory body of 'na' is the unadorned nature of mind, pervading all causes of the Buddhas, pervading all that is self-arisen. The illusory body of signs is the body pervaded by bliss, arising from objects of desire. By indulging in desire for objects, recognizing bliss, thereby introducing desire into the path. The illusory body of symbols is knowing the body to be impermanent and illusory, not clinging to attachment, relying on the body to practice Dharma, this is called the illusory body. The fifth, clear light, has six aspects. Outer clear light is all external appearances, appearing but without inherent existence, therefore clear and without grasping. Inner clear light is the nature of the inner mind, clear and unceasing, the self-nature of non-grasping is clear light. Secret clear light is suffering and conceptual thoughts not ceasing, self-arising, non-grasping clear light abiding in emptiness. Meaning clear light is the nature of reality, unadorned, naturally clear, without arising or ceasing, abiding in its own state. Sign clear light is experiencing the nature of mind, clear and unceasing. Recognizing that familiarity and stability can be attained in the continuum. Symbol clear light is now, between sleep and dreams, the clear light of thick sleep appearing, recognizing this and abiding in equipoise. At the time of death, between the cessation of the outer breath and the non-cessation of the inner breath, the clear light of the mind fainting, those two, like light merging with light, merely recognizing one's own nature, one is liberated, thereby attaining the Dharmakaya. The sixth, tummo, has six aspects. Outer tummo is visualizing the lama on the crown of the head, thinking of wearing the light and warm celestial garment, the five-leaved garment. Inner tummo is visualizing below the navel the ultimate tummo, the nature of heat, a small pellet-like form, and then drawing up the lower breath. By this, igniting the tummo, thinking that the hot touch of the fire instantaneously warms and heats up everything inside the abdomen. Secret tummo is heat arising, bliss stirring, thinking that bliss and warmth pervade the entire body, bliss light and airy. Meaning tummo is the nature of reality, self-luminous, in a state of non-conceptuality, relaxed and at ease. Sign tummo is heat arising in the body, the channels warm. When the channels are warm, the bindus are warm. When the bindus are warm, bliss arises in the body. When bliss arises, awareness, bliss, and clarity abide in a non-conceptual state. From bliss arises the Sambhogakaya. From clarity arises

Emanation Body. The Dharmakaya arises from non-discrimination. The Tummo that symbolizes it is: Because warmth arises in the body, clothes are not needed. Because non-discrimination is eaten as food, food is not needed. Because the mind abides in bliss and clarity, there is no need to meditate with effort. Second, regarding the instructions on the six bardos, there are two: the practice of the six bardos, and the supplementary method for the dying bardo, transference through the three powers. First, there are six bardos: the bardo of naturally abiding is like losing a child from its mother's lap. The bardo of birth and death is like a mother Garuda feeding her young. The bardo of the preceding and subsequent consciousness is like raising a lamp in a dark cave. The dream bardo is like not obtaining security for a bad source. The dying bardo is like a grandson going to his loving grandmother's house. The bardo of existence is like a fox entering a broken dike. First, the instruction on the bardo of naturally abiding, like losing a child from its mother's lap, is: What is called the bardo of naturally abiding refers to the fundamental mind-nature of both Buddhas and sentient beings, this unaltered nature. This unaltered mind, whether it goes to samsara or nirvana, follows good and bad, advancing and retreating accordingly, so it exists between the two, hence it is called bardo. Moreover, the reality of the ground, the mind-nature, is primordially pure, spontaneously perfect, untainted by faults, pure from the beginning, but because it is not realized, it is like losing a child from one's lap without knowing it is there. Because of following delusion, one wanders in samsara. The term "mother" refers to the reality of vast expanse, like a mother to her child, just as a mother is the source of many children. This primordially pure realm of the ground is vast and pervasive without partiality, from the highest Buddha to the lowest hell. Its self-luminous, self-radiant awareness arises from the mind, so it is called mind-born, just as a mother gives birth to children, various good and bad thoughts arise from the mind. Just as one loses a child from one's lap, one does not recognize the mind-born thoughts arising from the mind, so it becomes the cause of wandering in samsara. If a mother recognizes her child and cherishes it, the child will not be lost in vain. Similarly, if one recognizes the thoughts arising from one's own mind, one will not be controlled by delusion, and thus one will attain the Dharmakaya.
