When connecting and urging the channels with the lineage of letters, visualize the bindu passing through the central channel and touching the Buddha's toe. As the "Inspiration" says: "With the arrow of mind, the bow of wind, urge with the string of hik." To explain the meaning of what is said, pray in a clear state. With intense devotion, not just lip service, but from the bottom of your heart, say this: Homage to Amitabha Buddha! I pray to Orgyen Padmasambhava! Please bless me to master the profound path of transference! Please bless me to travel to the Pure Land of the Dakinis with the swift path of transference! Please bless me and others to be reborn in Sukhavati immediately after passing away from here! Homage to Amitabha Buddha! Thus explained. I pray to the treasure revealer Nyida Sangye! The profound path of transference, etc., all are explained in this way. Homage to Amitabha Buddha! I pray to the unequaled Namkhai Gyaltsen! I pray to the realized Sangye Bhadra! I pray to Pagor Drime Lodro! Dharma Lord Sangye Gyaltsen! I pray to the one named unequaled Mati! Bodhisattva Phuntsok Namgyal! I pray to the one named unequaled Vidya! I pray to Jetsun Konchok Ratna! I pray to the kind root guru! Profound path of transference! Swift path of transference! We from here! Rebirth in Sukhavati! Thus pray, and recite the syllable "Hik (ཧིཀ,梵文天城体:हिक्,梵文罗马拟音:hik,汉语字面意思:嘿)", directing the three—wind, visualization, and mind—upward. Having practiced in this way, if you have become proficient, the best sign is to become unconscious, the intermediate sign is that the crown of the head itches and swells, a fleshy lump appears, yellow fluid drips, etc. Until these obvious signs appear, you should repeat and strive to practice. Third, at the end, during the session breaks, with the sound of the syllable "Ka (ཀ,梵文天城体:क,梵文罗马拟音:ka,汉语字面意思:嘎)", lower the three—wind, visualization, and mind—and place the bindu on the lotus in the heart. At the end, seal with the dedication of the three spheres being completely pure. Afterwards, strive to practice as before. At the end, when the various signs have clearly appeared, perform the practice of inserting grass, etc., as in the lineage of seeing and hearing. During the session breaks, rest in the state of the great seal of reality. From the appearance of the signs until death, during the day and night sessions, as long as you do not forget the visualization and prayer, do not make too much effort, otherwise there is a great danger of prematurely ending your life, so do not do that.

One should strive to practice and diligently recite prayers. Secondly, regarding applying the Dharma to practice, there are two aspects: altruistic actions that benefit others and the method of transferring oneself. The first is: When any sentient being has exhausted their karma and is nearing death, shortly after they have passed away, after some time has passed, the body heat gathers from the limbs to the center, and the warmth of the heart rises upward, the pulse of the four limbs weakens, and the two breaths can only beat weakly, unable to beat strongly. At the very moment when the outer breath has stopped and the inner breath is about to stop, do not move or disturb the corpse. At that time, put your mouth close to the ear of the deceased and call out their name loudly, and inform them three times: "You are dead." And tell them: "The appearance of this life has disappeared, and the appearance of the next life has not yet arisen. Now you are in the state of the Bardo of Dharmata, recognize it." Furthermore, when you die, the skandha of form dissolves, and the body becomes weak and powerless. Mirror-like wisdom dissolves, and consciousness becomes unclear and hazy. The earth element dissolves, and the body becomes dry and stiff. The eye faculty dissolves, and the eyes become blurred and the face changes. The form element dissolves, and the radiance of the body diminishes. The feeling skandha dissolves, and the body's sensations weaken. Equality wisdom dissolves, and the three feelings cannot be remembered. The water element dissolves, and the body's sweat and other fluids dry up. The ear faculty dissolves, and inner and outer sounds become unclear. Sound dissolves, and one cannot hear the sound of one's own body. The consciousness skandha dissolves, and one cannot remember sentient beings. Discriminating wisdom dissolves, and one cannot remember relatives and friends. The fire element dissolves, and one cannot digest food. The nose faculty dissolves, and the upward-moving air moves slowly. Smell dissolves, and one cannot smell one's own scent. The volition skandha dissolves, and all of one's actions cannot be carried out. Accomplishing wisdom dissolves, and one cannot remember actions and needs. The wind element dissolves, and one moves from the place of wind. The tongue faculty dissolves, and it becomes short and thick. Taste dissolves, and one cannot experience the six tastes. These are the ways in which the twenty coarse elements dissolve. Next are the ways in which the subtle inner four elements dissolve: Earth dissolves into water, the outer sign is that the body cannot move and cannot support itself. One feels as if the body is sinking into the earth, and feelings such as "I am being pulled away" arise. The inner sign is that consciousness is like smoke, hazy and unclear.
