Guide me on the path of righteousness. Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Hrīḥ Vajra Guru Hari Ni Sa Sarva Siddhi Hūṃ. Instructions on the Swift Path of Transference: The Messenger Who Travels to the Lotus Land, A Guide to the Cutting Method, is presented here. The Swift Path of Transference: The Cutting Method. Homage to the Guru and Protector Amitābha. The profound path of Vajrayana, the path of transference through the upper gate of liberation, which allows one to manifest Buddhahood without cultivation, I will explain, please practice it. Here, the ultimate of all tantras and instructions of the Great Secret Vajrayana is the path of the messenger, which is contained within the upper gate of liberation and the lower gate of great bliss. Here, the profound path of transference, the method to manifest Vajradhara without cultivating the upper gate of liberation, is for the sentient beings of the degenerate age who have short lives and coarse afflictions. Even if they cultivate the generation and completion stages for a long time, they are mostly under the influence of distraction. Therefore, even if they do not cultivate, even if they are individuals who have committed the five heinous crimes, if they encounter this path, they will surely be liberated. As Jetsun Marpa said, "If you cultivate, all Buddhas are present. If you do not cultivate, Buddhahood is present in me." Therefore, there are two ways to practice this path: first, to have faith and trust in the lineage, and to distinguish the historical biography; second, the actual instructions. Firstly, when the Dharma-protecting king Trisong Detsen (reigned 790-858) invited the master Padmasambhava of Oddiyana to Tibet to subdue the land and consecrate the construction of the glorious Samye Monastery, there was a minister of the king named Nyima, who was rich in wealth and glory, and had two palaces. One night, the minister himself held a lamp to move things in and out. When a small spark from the lamp fell and caught the gunpowder in the palace, a fire broke out and burned the place of worship of the minister's guru, as well as the minister's parents and thirteen other men and women. In addition, many animals such as horses, donkeys, mules, dogs, and pigs also died. Immediately, the minister thought, "Due to my past negative karma, my palace was burned down for no reason, which is a cause for great evil." He felt sorrow.

When he was pressed down by heavy objects, driving away demons in a dark room, and spending his days with lamentations and intense wailing, the sovereign saw the minister tormented by sorrow. Unable to bear it, he thought, 'Such a wise minister, due to misfortunes and so on, now, for the sake of the minister's situation, how can I save him from this intense suffering of sorrow in this life and find a way for him to ultimately attain perfect enlightenment?' Since I do not have such power, I thought that I must request Orgyen Rinpoche (Guru Padmasambhava). Then, he went to Drakmar Samye Chimphu (བྲག་དམར་བསམ་ཡས་མཆིམས་ཕུ།, a monastery around the 8th century AD, located in the Shannan region of Tibet), to the cave of Geu Tso Gyal (དགེའུ་མཚོ་རྒྱལ་ཕུག་), where Orgyen Rinpoche resided, and told the story of the former minister Nyima and prayed. Orgyen Rinpoche agreed in a manner of not saying anything. After that, the king and his entourage returned to the great Tsuglagkhang of Zab Yang (ཟབ་ཡངས་ཀྱི་གཙུག་ལག་ཁང་ཆེན་པོ།), and Orgyen himself immediately entered meditation and went to the Pure Land of Sukhavati, to the presence of Buddha Amitabha (འོད་དཔག་མེད་). Buddha Amitabha bestowed upon Orgyen Rinpoche the profound Phowa (transference of consciousness) practice (འཕོ་བའི་གདམས་པ་), the profound path to enlightenment without cultivation. This profound Phowa practice is more extraordinary than others, but now is not the time to propagate it. Tell it only to Minister Nyima, do not show it to anyone else. In the future, during the time of the five degenerations, Minister Nyima himself will appear in human form. For his Dharma connection, make aspirations and bury it as a treasure! Thus, he gave the seal of approval and bestowed it. After that, Orgyen himself again went from the Pure Land of Sukhavati to the upper Geu of Chimphu (མཆིམས་ཕུ་དགེའུ་གོང་), rested for a moment, and entered into meditative absorption. As soon as he arose from that meditative absorption, Tso Gyal (མཚོ་རྒྱལ) asked, 'Guru Rinpoche (གུ་རུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ), did you come from Sukhavati for the sake of Minister Nyima and the Dharma that the king greatly trusts?' He replied, 'I possess the profound Dharma that is difficult to find in the teachings of the Buddhas of the past, and it has been sealed. You go and invite the king here!' Having said that, Tso Gyal immediately invited the king and his entourage to the presence of the Guru. The Guru said, 'Alas! Sovereign King, I possess all the paths of Sutra and Tantra, along with the essential instructions, spoken by all the perfect and complete Buddhas.'
