Then, the master holds the arrow banner and waves it, and recites: Blessed One, Protector Amitayus. From the hands of the Gandharvas of the east, etc., until the life bag that accomplishes all actions. Recite as before, and wave the arrow banner when reciting "life bag." Then, the master recites the long life accomplishment mantra as much as possible, and sprinkles mantra water on the life arrow. Then, to the students: Measure the length of the arrow as before. If it decreases by one or two fingers, etc., it is not very good, so receive the long life empowerment, perform the long life practice, save the lives of beings who are certain to be killed, make tsatsas, etc., and strive to adopt various methods to increase life. If it increases by one or two fingers, etc., it indicates that life is increasing like the arrow, which is good.
