Thus, if the pulse lines appear in the middle or two-thirds of the white area, but the body has no illness, it is because it has not penetrated deeply, requiring only simple treatment, nothing else. If it appears at the boundary between black and white, it is curable, requiring only simple offerings. If conditions permit, practice can be done. If it appears in the black area, it has penetrated deeply, and whether conditions permit or not, effort should be put into offerings and practice, making it difficult to treat. Whatever the nature of the pulse, if it is subtle and the color is clear, and it remains stable in one place without moving, it is known to be a disease-free pulse. If there are many changes in size, twisting like a rope, or like an intestine inflated with air, filled in parts, it is known to be a demonic pulse. Thus, if at the tip of the pulse, it is like a spear with a banner attached, it is the harm of nāgas, demons, and earth spirits. If it is like riding a horse or leading a dog, it is the harm of nāgas, fierce mountain deities, and nāga demons. If it is like black clouds forming in the sky, it is the harm of gyalpo spirits, mischievous spirits, and local deities.
