Darkness is deep, and the sun and moon of wisdom rise from above. The palace of spontaneously accomplished samsara and nirvana. The great ocean is clear everywhere, adorned with various flowers. The eight great nagas serve as pillars. All the heavens and earth above and below are covered with the spine of snakes. All the earth lords, nagas, and spirits are eaten as food, In the center of the great palace that has become a field of liberation, the Naga King clan, the inferior clan, the commoner clan, the Brahmin clan, the Chandalas clan, and other hundreds of thousands of nagas, thousands of earth lords, and hundreds of thousands of spirits are all laid out. On the throne that is spread out as a cushion and eaten as food, one visualizes oneself as an emanation of the mind of the Bhagavan Manjushri Jnanasattva, the Bhagavan Vidyaraja, named Black Nagaraja Tipaya (Tibetan: ནཱ་ག་རཀ་ཤ་ནག་པོ་ཏི་པ་ཙ་ཡ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: नागरक्ष कृष्ण तिप्पचय, Sanskrit Romanization: nāgarakṣa kṛṣṇa tippacaya, Chinese literal meaning: Black Nagaraja Tipaya), the nine-headed naga demon with the upper body of a rakshasa. His back rests against Mount Meru, and his lower body, the snake's tail, coils on the ocean. The root face is that of a rakshasa, wide open. The nine snake heads float in the sky. The central snake head wears a jeweled crown. The sixteen hands hold a curved knife in the eight right hands and a snake lasso in the eight left hands. The first two hands are crossed at the heart, and the others hold them together. The color of the body shines and radiates like the tip of an iron spear or the color of the poison hala. All the faces emit a loud sound of "Igsha Igsha," causing all the nagas, spirits, and earth lords to tremble and be frightened. Visualize him residing in the center of the blazing fire of wisdom. In particular, on the central snake head where the deity torma and the Nagaraja image on the table are visualized as inseparable, on the lotus and moon seat, the root guru is adorned with marks and signs, and light radiates from his body. Visualize Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om), Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Ah), and Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) in white, red, and blue at the three places (body, speech, and mind). Visualize them clearly at the three places of the disciple as well. The disciple holds flowers in his palms and prays: "Precious Guru, please bless me with the form of Bhagavan Manjushri Nagaraja!" Recite this three times, and apply the same principle to the following. Then, from the Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om) at the guru's forehead, white light radiates, gathering all the qualities of the bodies of all the Tathagatas, and enters the Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om) at the disciple's forehead.

Hīḥ! All diseases, evil spirits, and defilements of the body are purified. Visualizing the body transforming into the Vajra body of Manjushri is the vase empowerment. Similarly, the Āḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning) at the throat and the Hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning) at the heart also transform, which is the introduction to the secret empowerment and the wisdom empowerment. Again, from the letters at the three places (body, speech, and mind) of the Guru, various colors of light radiate, dissolving into the three places of body, speech, and mind of the disciple and into all the pores, purifying all diseases, evil spirits, and defilements of body, speech, and mind. Visualizing being inseparable from the body, speech, and mind of Manjushri is the fourth empowerment. Afterwards, everything else is the same, and in all activities, one possesses the pride of Nāgarakṣa, enjoying without fear or hesitation whatever one encounters, such as sleeping on a fierce ground. One should do good deeds and dedicate them, etc. Samaya. Gya Gya Gya. Śubhaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Auspicious). The lineage of this is: Vajradhara, Manjushri, Vajrapani, Guru Padmasambhava, Dharma King Trisong Detsen, Dharma King Rinchen Lingpa. Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ! The Examination of Manjushri, Naga Demon, Nāgarakṣa, The Jewel Sun Lamp. In Sanskrit: Śāśa Upadeśa Ratna Sūrya Dīpa Nāma. In Tibetan: Called The Examination, The Jewel Sun Lamp. Homage to the glorious, powerful one. In the degenerate age of the eon, people have short lives and little merit, little enjoyment and much suffering, in work they dig and cut down fierce trees, among demons the earth lords and nagas flourish, among diseases scabies and leprosy seize, temporarily dirty, difficult to cure in the long run. To clarify this, the method of examination is shown. Ema, fortunate ones, keep it in mind. That is, on the body of a human being, from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet, whether the poisonous nagas have seized or not, to clarify this, there is the following instruction: Whether the sky collapses from above, whether rotten flesh appears from the crown of the head; whether white clouds touch, whether the eye clouds are thick or not; whether the leaves of the wish-fulfilling tree wither, whether the hair and eyebrows fall out; whether the flowers are taken away by hail, whether the complexion of the face is lost; whether the heavenly lake dries up from the bottom, whether the radiance of the eyes fades; whether the sea of blood churns, whether the cheeks turn blue; whether the central pillar collapses, whether the nose collapses; whether the white snow peak melts, whether the white enamel of the teeth loses its luster; the center of the rainbow...
