又，如以火燃竹，猛烈且脉络突起，大小长短诸多般。无病之脉细而清，粗细一如白里透红，斑驳陆离而显现。眼之脉络亦如此，如是智者善观察，可知疾病之所在。如是邬金我之语，铭刻于心三昧耶。珍贵窍诀日光灯，身之诊察第四品。恶毒之病所侵时，乃为要害花朵之根。彼之诊察方法者，内里何处侵于外诊。内里侵于心之相，外在舌生黑痘疱，若成肉状则明显，食不知味心不悦，心识不清智慧昏，觉若火焚于心间，有时心跳顿然止。内里侵于肺之相，外在鼻塌鼻翼损，鼻生黄痘如芥子，鼻血清水常流淌，肺部不适生闷气。内里侵于肝之相，眼失光泽肿胀眼，视物不清喜外向，眼睑泪水常流淌，肝脏不适胆汁呕，口干舌燥食不下。侵于脾脏之相者，小便不畅胞囊滞，抽搐口歪生肉赘，脾脏觉若刀割般，食不消化常呕吐。侵于肾脏之相者，耳聋觉若有物堵，耳内生出小水泡，肾脏觉若指压般，阳物阴户如被割，体虚精液常流淌，此乃侵于脏腑之相，因难疗养故当舍。侵于骨骼之相者，牙尖牙齿失光泽，疼痛牙齿欲脱落。侵于筋脉之相者，跛足挛缩体无力，僵硬易怒疲惫重，男女之根难勃起。侵入血肉之相者，腿肚水肿肉肿等，肿胀之处现小圈，麻木发硬且发热，粗糙僵硬且麻木，血液清水流不断，无故生出孔洞来。侵于脉及要穴相，脉搏跳动意识躁，烦恼剧痛且尖锐，气味不佳念头粗。侵于皮肤之相者，ེ་བ་和 是動搖之想生起，抽動、腫脹和發癢，眉毛、鬍鬚、毛髮脫落，這些大多難以存活，智者若能善加觀察，便能從外在得知內在的疾病。如是鄔金我的教言，銘記於心，薩瑪雅！珍貴竅訣如日曜燈中，觀察官覺精華之章第五。 惡性疾病纏身時，會出現邪魔的幻象和夢境，關於此的觀察方法是：在狹窄的山洞、水溝中，進入無法容納的地方，進入深邃的峽谷中，進入多重門戶中，進入黑暗的空洞中，頭戴鍋，不淨之物沾染身體，走到泥沼中，夢見日月西沉，被鐵鍊繩索束縛，騎乘豬和羊，青蛙和蜥蜴纏身，黑氂牛和黑蛇侵擾，各種旁生之形，昆蟲、蛆蟲、螞蟻、馬蜂，樹木、垃圾、泉眼，走到陡峭的山崖邊，許多男人和女人，吃下不淨的食物，墜入黑暗中，身體被鐵釘刺穿， 睡在水坑中，夢見許多狗和狼，夢見湖泊和泉水，得知這是龍所纏身的徵兆。紅馬、紅肉、紅岩石，是龍和贊神結合，鐵鍊、女人是邪魔作祟，黑岩、黑雲是龍魔作祟，巨石、佛塔是鬼怪作祟，僧人、四處、國王是鬼怪作祟，猛獸、鈴鐺、地神是鬼怪作祟，黑衣、黑幡是羅剎女作祟，智者應善加觀察夢境，了解各種邪魔的特徵。如是鄔金我的教言，銘記於心，薩瑪雅！珍貴竅訣如日曜燈中，觀察夢境之章第六。 惡性疾病纏身時，頭身、上下、中間等，關於所纏之處的好壞觀察是：所纏之處不好的是頭頂，眉間、肩膀、鼻尖、臉頰，乳房、心臟、肚臍、隱處，舌頭和手臂關節左右，肋骨左右、鼻孔兩側，五根和五官，四肢手掌和指尖，乳房、心臟和肩胛骨，關節、小腿和脈搏，若落在脈搏之上則不好，無脈的墨點之間 和沒有血脈之處

From the precious instruction, the lamp of the sun, this is the fourth chapter on examining the body. When afflicted by a virulent disease, it is the root of the essential flower of the senses. The method of examining it is: whatever is afflicted internally, examine externally. The signs of internal affliction of the heart are: externally, black pustules appear on the tongue. It is clear when it becomes fleshy. There is no taste for food, the heart is not happy, the mind is unclear, and wisdom is clouded. It feels like the heart is being burned by fire. Sometimes the heart stops beating. The signs of internal affliction of the lungs are: externally, the nose collapses, the nostrils are damaged, yellow pustules like mustard seeds appear on the nose, and nasal blood and serous fluid constantly flow. The lungs are uncomfortable and there is shortness of breath. The signs of internal affliction of the liver are: the eyes lose their luster and become swollen. Vision is unclear and there is a desire for external things. Tears constantly flow from the eyelids. The liver is uncomfortable and there is vomiting of bile. The mouth is dry and food cannot be digested. The signs of affliction of the spleen are: urination is blocked, the bladder is stagnant, there are convulsions, the mouth is crooked, and fleshy growths appear. The spleen feels like it is being cut. Food is not digested and there is constant vomiting. The signs of affliction of the kidneys are: the ears are deaf and feel blocked. Small blisters appear inside the ears. The kidneys feel like they are being pressed by thumbs. The male and female genitals feel like they have been cut off. There is weakness and semen constantly flows. These are the signs of affliction of the internal organs. Because it is difficult to treat, it should be abandoned. The signs of affliction of the bones are: the tips of the teeth lose their luster. There is pain and the teeth are loose and about to fall out. The signs of affliction of the tendons are: lameness, contractures, and weakness. There is stiffness, anger, and great fatigue. The male and female genitals cannot be erect. The signs of entering the flesh and blood are: swelling of the calves, water swelling, flesh swelling, etc. Small circles appear on the swollen areas. There is numbness and tingling. It is hot and rough, stiff and numb. Blood and serous fluid flow constantly, and meaningless holes appear. The signs of affliction of the veins and vital points are: the pulse throbs and consciousness is agitated. There is great affliction, pain, and sharpness. The smell is unpleasant and thoughts are coarse. The signs of affliction of the skin are:

The fifth chapter of the Precious Instructions, the Lamp of the Sun, examines the essence of the senses. When afflicted by a malignant disease, demonic illusions and dreams arise. The method of examining this is: in narrow mountain caves and water channels, entering places that cannot be accommodated, entering deep valleys, entering multiple gates, entering dark empty caves, wearing pots on the head, impure things staining the body, going into the mud, dreaming of the sun and moon setting, being bound by iron chains and ropes, riding pigs and sheep, frogs and lizards clinging to the body, black yaks and black snakes harassing, various animal forms, insects, worms, ants, horseflies, trees, garbage, springs, walking on steep cliffs, many men and women, eating impure food, falling into darkness, the body being pierced by iron nails, sleeping in puddles, dreaming of many dogs and wolves, dreaming of lakes and springs, know that this is a sign of being possessed by the nagas. Red horse, red meat, red rock, are the union of nagas and tsen spirits. Iron chains and women are harmful demons. Black rock and black clouds are harmful naga demons. Boulders and stupas are harmful ghosts. Monks, four places, and kings are harmful ghosts. Wild animals, bells, and earth spirits are harmful ghosts. Black clothes and black banners are harmful rakshasis. The wise should carefully examine dreams and understand the characteristics of various demons. Thus, the words of Orgyen, keep them in your heart, Samaya! The sixth chapter of the Precious Instructions, the Lamp of the Sun, examines dreams. When afflicted by a malignant disease, the head, body, upper and lower parts, and middle parts, the examination of the good and bad of the afflicted areas is: the bad afflicted areas are the crown of the head, between the eyebrows, shoulders, tip of the nose, cheeks, breasts, heart, navel, secret place, tongue and arm joints, left and right, ribs left and right, both nostrils, the five roots and five senses, palms and fingertips of the limbs, breasts, heart and shoulder blades, joints, calves and pulse, it is bad if it falls on the pulse, between the black ink spots without pulse and where there is no blood vessel.
