Offering: Hūṃ! Mañjuśrī Yamāntaka, deities of life, please open your faces! Offering the flesh, bones, marrow, and essence of the enemies and obstructors who are to be vanquished, I offer them to the glorious great Heruka, father and mother, together with their retinue. Having consumed them with fierce, wrathful, and violent manner, cut off the habitual tendencies of negative karma and cyclic existence, and grant the attainment of the three kāyas of Buddhahood! In order to avert great misfortune, many curses, and to reverse black magic, this great red aversion ritual is undertaken, which has three points: preliminary preparations, actual activities, and concluding the activities. The first part includes preparing the offerings and the preliminary ritual. Preparing the offerings: On the ground of a charnel ground, smear with ashes of corpses. On it, draw a mātrikā in blue-green color, with a garland of skulls, a twelve-spoked wheel, and a crescent moon inside, along with nine "E" syllables and nine islands. On top of this, on a low table, place an iron or skull cup, in which is placed a black four-layered offering mixed with poison and blood, on top of which is a glorious torma in the shape of a crow, with the face of Yama. The first layer is the eight great yakshas, the second layer is the three protectors, the great executioner, the Monpa, and the twelve demons, the third layer is the twelve lords of death of the months, and the fourth layer is the thirty-two Yamas of the days. In four skull cups in the four directions, place the four classes of arrogant deities, and finally arrange the implements for turning back. These offerings are decorated with flesh, blood, marrow, human skin, intestines, and grease, and adorned with mustard seeds and barley.
