Among the methods of subjugation, this is particularly excellent. Those subjugations that have not reached the standard, although they can kill the opponent with the profound method of mantra, it is difficult to have no ripening result for oneself, so one must diligently cultivate the intention to purify the opponent's rebirth. The method of subjugation is: summoning the one to be subjugated to the object of focus, separating them from the deity, and descending fierce hail. Seizing the life of the five combined essences of the heart. Contemplating that all the imprints of bad karma are purified by the light of wisdom, this is the ablution empowerment. Integrating the opponent's lifespan and merit into one's own life, this is the lifespan empowerment. Throwing the enemy's consciousness into Akanishta, at the union of the victorious father and mother, transforming them into a son of the lineage, this is the rebirth empowerment. Because of having such intention and conduct, one gathers the opponent's lifespan and merit into oneself, making oneself, the yogi, full; the enemy's flesh and blood transform into wisdom nectar, making the deities of the mandala, including the Dharma protectors, full; severing the enemy's bad karma, transforming them into a son of the Sugata, making the one to be subjugated full. The yogis who have accomplished the profound intention and conduct with these three fullnesses are the ones who have mastered the fearless, victorious asceticism. Moreover, if one cannot grasp it with a fortress-like view, even if the signs of touching arise, one cannot be liberated. Even if one has great power, one is like a Rakshasa. If one does not repeatedly practice with the perilous path meditation, one cannot master the appearing deity mandala, nor can one truly command the spirits. Even if one has great learning, one is like a parrot. If one is not proficient in the key points of life, soul, and lifespan, and does not gain confidence, one cannot master the activities of benefit and harm. Therefore, regarding these three as mutual companions, without separating, practicing the union of the three in all situations, in this way one can approach the accomplishment of the profound intention and conduct of the accomplished vidyadharas, the great lords of yoga. Therefore, in order to ascertain the meaning of these three, explaining the view—the fortress of bodhicitta, and the meaning of the eighteen sections of the Mind Division, Mother and Son, the yogic masters have summarized them into the ten intentions, etc., and whatever appropriate instructions of the twenty-five lineages, and also the instructions of the Kama and Terma, all the stages of introducing mind itself as the Dharmakaya.

And, to establish the path of accomplishing the union of the three clarities of meditation, increase, and nearness. As many as the stages of sadhana instructions and oral instructions, such as the Eight Heruka Sadhanas, and the stages of key texts for meditative experiences, and the twenty scrolls of wrathful mantras, the lifeblood dharma of conduct, manifest conduct, and activities. Furthermore, the key points of essential instructions that are closely needed, the Black Essence Nail of Mantra Combinations, mother and sons, and the stages of instructions such as the Treasure House of Existence and the Life House, which are as vast as the sky and the ocean, should be understood as much as possible. The ultimate point of the key is to make the glorious and precious lama, who possesses the profound lineage of realization, pleased in every way, in order to manifest the self-arisen wisdom of mind itself within oneself. It is necessary to transfer the realization of the meaning lineage. In this regard, although there are many scholars and accomplished ones in India who have received the teachings of this profound vehicle, the secret treasury of the mind of all the Tathagatas, among all of them, the most supreme and unparalleled teaching tradition has four Indian panditas and siddhas, and four Tibetans, making a total of eight. The first is Garab Dorje, who received empowerment from the deity Yidam. That is, in Akanishta, Samantabhadra and Samantabhadri empowered the regent Vajrasattva. Hevajra, that is, Garab Dorje, received it from the actual Vajrasattva, and thus bodhicitta arose spontaneously and effortlessly. The one who received empowerment from the text of the Kagyu lineage's signs is King Indrabodhi, an emanation of Vajrapani. When he was meditating in the Malaya Mountains, he dreamed that scriptures fell on the roof of the house, and as he dreamed, the scriptures fell on the roof of the house. He pretended not to understand the meaning and asked the teacher Kukkuraja, but the teacher did not understand either. So he placed the scriptures on his head, generated longing, and meditated for seven days, and saw the face of Vajrasattva. Then he meditated for another twenty-one days, and understood all the meanings of the scriptures, and became proficient in all the meanings of the tantras, and thus received the empowerment. Padmasambhava is the one who received empowerment through the power of self-awareness. All of appearance and existence abides in self-aware bodhicitta, which is the very nature of glorious Vajrasattva, awareness itself.
