On the ground, place the nine supports in their respective positions. For the intermediate, arrange a skull image in the center. If that is not possible, then according to the condensed method, relying only on a torma offering will not become a fault of interruption. In any case, on a clean platform, arrange the three: medicine, alcohol, and torma, as well as all the necessary items such as outer and inner offerings, and arrange them neatly and beautifully. Regarding the mandala to be meditated upon, there are the three: large, medium, and small of the generation and completion stages, mantra practice, and single mudra practice, etc., whichever one relies upon is fine. Here, in order to suit beginners, a method that is appropriate for both elaborate and concise is adopted. In the sequence of practicing according to the small generation and completion stages, since the preliminary practices, accumulation of merit, and eight branches precede it, starting from the boundary cutting, perform the seven preliminary practices like the Great Bliss Spontaneous Play. That is, for the evening session of the first day and the early morning sessions from the second day onwards, perform the elaborate preliminary practices, and for the later sessions, just perform the accumulation of merit and the visualization of the protective circle. As for the main ritual, if one relies on the small generation and completion stage practice manual itself, there is no need to say anything more. If one relies on any of the other large or medium practice manuals, then one should know the method of condensing the essential points of the small practice to be meditated upon, and there will be no conflict in practicing it. Therefore, for the convenience of recitation and meditation, like the Great Bliss Spontaneous Play, it explains how to adopt or discard the different activities. First, the three samadhis: Hūṃ. (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།), (Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं), (Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ), (Literal Chinese meaning: Hum). From "Pure Bodhicitta" to "Hūṃ Vajra Citta Hūṃ" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་བཛྲ་ཙིཏྟ་ཧཱུྃ།), (Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं वज्र चित्त हुं), (Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ vajra citta hūṃ), (Literal Chinese meaning: Hum Vajra Mind Hum). Second, the generation of the supporting palace: From the syllable Hūṃ residing in the sky, the syllables E, Yaṃ, Ra, Suṃ, Keṃ, Raṃ are separated, from "E Ā Kāśa Maṇḍala" (Tibetan: ཨེ་ཨཱ་ཀ་ཤ་མཎྜ་ལ།), (Sanskrit Devanagari: ), (Sanskrit Romanization: e ā kāśa maṇḍala), (Literal Chinese meaning: E Ah Space Mandala) to "Surrounded by an unbroken, blazing garland." Third, the generation of the seat: Rudra Krodhāti Ra Vaṃ. (Tibetan: རུ་དྲ་ཀྲོ་དྷཱ་ཏི་ར་བཾ།), (Sanskrit Devanagari: ), (Sanskrit Romanization: rudra krodhāti ra vaṃ), (Literal Chinese meaning: Rudra Krodha Ati Ra Vam). Paṃ Padma Maṇḍala. (Tibetan: པཾ་པདྨ་མཎྜ་ལ།), (Sanskrit Devanagari: ), (Sanskrit Romanization: paṃ padma maṇḍala), (Literal Chinese meaning: Pam Padma Mandala). Mā Sūrya Maṇḍala. (Tibetan: མ་སཱུརྻ་མཎྜ་ལ།), (Sanskrit Devanagari: ), (Sanskrit Romanization: mā sūrya maṇḍala), (Literal Chinese meaning: Ma Surya Mandala). A Candra Maṇḍala. (Tibetan: ཨ་ཙནྡྲ་མཎྜ་ལ།), (Sanskrit Devanagari: ), (Sanskrit Romanization: a candra maṇḍala), (Literal Chinese meaning: A Candra Mandala). In the center of the palace, on the lotus pistil, in the center of the blazing white bright sun and moon, together with Mahadeva and Umadevi, from "the eight directions" to "crossed." Fourth, the generation of the deity to be relied upon: From the root syllable Hūṃ descending onto the seat, visualize the Great Supreme, and from its heart, emanate the syllable Hūṃ, and visualize the main deities of the eight mandalas. All of these are generated from the syllable Hūṃ in an instant of recollection and completion.

As stated in the 'Essence of Practice' and its commentary, visualize the retinue arising in a manner that they naturally abide as the retinue of their respective principal deities, thus it is said: The syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) abiding in the sky, descends upon the central seat, completely transforms, and visualize that from this arises the body of the Great Glorious One, the collective form of all blood-drinkers. Hūṃ! (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) In the unchanging dark blue center, in the realm of reality, the Great Glorious One, the collective form of all blood-drinkers. The Great Supreme One, dark blue, with a white right face and a red left face. Six hands, with nine points, five points, and three points on the right. With hair, holding a fresh skull, and a blood-red conch shell in the left. A sky-iron cleaver, smeared with blood from skulls. Four petals, clearly showing the blood-drinkers of each family, together with their consorts. Oṃ Vajra Krodha, etc. From the hearts of the Great Supreme Father and Mother, a dark blue Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) radiates to the center of the eight directions and intermediate directions of the mandala. Completely transformed, the eight principal Great Glorious blood-drinkers, each with their retinue, become clearly manifest. Hūṃ! (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) In the center of the eastern mandala, etc., similar to the others, the distinction of the retinue is that on the petals reside the father and mother blood-drinkers of the four families. In the Yama realm, on the petals reside the four executioners, each with their consort. In the Hayagrīva realm, holding a skull cup. On the four petals, on the right and left reside owl heads and horned owl heads, and in front and behind reside vajra, lotus, and karma-master. In the Vajrakīla realm, on the petals reside the four Kīlayas of each family. In the Mamo realm, on the right and left of the principal deity, bright light shines, there is existence and bliss, and on the petals reside the four Mamos. In the Vidyādhara realm, on the petals reside the four Vidyādharas of each family. In the Arrogance Subduer realm, holding a skull cup. On the petals reside the four great lords of the arrogant ones. In the Wrathful Mantra realm, on the petals reside the four lords of the arrogant ones who are mantra masters. Oṃ Vajra Sarva Duṣṭāṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ! Except for the Vidyādharas, all the Great Glorious blood-drinkers, from "Thus" to "the end of the actual revealed common offering," request the granting of the supreme accomplishment of the lineage of excellent offerings, and so on, according to the usual order. Hūṃ! (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) Connect the praise of the "Five Bodies of the Sugatas," etc. After that, as in the peaceful stage, remain in equanimity until attachment to the appearance of the deity does not arise. If aversion arises, then engage in recitation. There are two types of recitation: practicing the nine heaps separately, and combining and reciting them and applying them to activities. The first is: the detailed recitation of body, speech, and mind, as explained above, the three contemplations.
