Red nectar descends like a waterfall, as if a coral vase is filled with carmine essence. The body of the fundamental Vajrasattva, like a crystal vase filled with carmine essence, drips from the toes, and with this purifying light nectar, purifies the karma of being born as a human due to desire in one's own continuum. The result of purification is the discriminating wisdom, and the purification of sentient beings' karma. The object to be purified, the means of purification, and the result of purification are contemplated as before. From the blue seed syllable and mantra garland of Vajrasattva at the heart center, blue purifying light nectar flows, as if a lapis lazuli vase is filled with molten blue essence. The object to be purified is the karma of falling into hell due to hatred, and the result of purification is the mirror-like wisdom. From the seed syllable and mantra garland of Vajrasattva at the navel center, yellow purifying light nectar descends, as if a golden vase is filled with pure gold essence. The object to be purified is the karma of being born as gods and hungry ghosts due to stinginess and pride. The result of purification is the wisdom of equanimity. From the green seed syllable and mantra garland of Vajrasattva at the secret place, green purifying light nectar flows, as if a butter vase is filled with butter. The object to be purified is the karma of being born as demigods due to jealousy. The result of purification is the manifestation of the wisdom of accomplishment, etc. Combine and extrapolate from the above categories, and recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra. The Five Stages scripture says: "In four or six sessions, whichever is convenient, recite the essence mantra and the dharani." Therefore, recite the essence mantra: Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ Āḥ (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཧཱུྃ་ཨཱ༔,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ āḥ,汉语字面意思:嗡,金刚萨埵,吽,阿). The long dharani is only the Hundred Syllable Mantra of Vajrasattva, not the Hundred Syllable Mantra of Heruka, etc. The Five Stages scripture says: "For those of superior, middling, or inferior faculties, for three, seven, or twenty-one days, diligently purify obscurations in sequence." Therefore, the number of days for the instructions is the same. Usually, at least one hundred or twenty-one recitations should be done. Dongtru says that reciting one hundred times will make one a Buddha-child of the three times. It is said that reciting twenty-one times will prevent the increase of downfalls. The Sakya school says: "Bathe with external and internal water, and the yogini also bestows empowerment again." Combining this with the tantra, the stream of Vajrasattva's water fills the inside of the body.

Although there are four empowerments and union practices, there is no room here to discuss the scriptures and notes, etc. When concluding a session, the Vajrasattva from the conch room dissolves into light and merges into the Vajrasattva at the throat. That merges into the Vajrasattva at the heart. The Vajrasattva at the secret place merges into the navel. That merges into the heart. The outer Vajrasattva also merges into the Vajrasattva at the heart. That itself dissolves into light and merges into oneself. Thus, the sins and obscurations of one's own body, speech, and mind, along with their habitual tendencies, are purified, and one contemplates that the Lama Vajrasattva and one's own mind are inseparable and abides in equanimity. This is an uncommon profound instruction, and it is good to practice it regularly. Alternatively, examine which affliction is strongest in your own mindstream. If ignorance is predominant, visualize white. If desire is predominant, visualize red. If anger is predominant, visualize blue. If miserliness and pride are predominant, visualize yellow. If jealousy is predominant, visualize green. It is also said to practice the recitation and visualization of the respective deity that subdues each affliction. Furthermore, it is necessary to confess and take vows through the four opponent powers, so it is important to recognize the four powers. The fourth is the peg of urging impermanence: The root text of the guidance states: "First, by remembering impermanence, the realms, enjoyments, affection, and relatives of samsara, having deliberated, strongly and completely sever attachment." The meaning of this is: The text of the Five Pegs states: "The fourth peg is the peg of urging impermanence. One's own land, houses, etc." From "Divide into sessions and contemplate impermanence. Having seen impermanence, enter the Dharma." As shown in between, the method of reciting and contemplating is common to both the New and Old traditions. The difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment, the impermanence of death, the law of karma, and the faults of samsara are first contemplated as the common preliminaries, and refuge and bodhicitta, etc., are taken as the uncommon preliminaries. However, here it is said to be included in the Five Pegs, so the object of contemplation at this time is: One's own land, houses, etc., the earth, stones, mountains, rocks, and world realms, construction, dwelling, and destruction, and the changes of the seasons are well contemplated. Etc., first contemplate that the outer container world is impermanent. In the middle, one's own enemies and friends, all sentient beings, and one's own body, birth, life, and death are contemplated. Etc., secondly, contemplate the suffering of birth and death of oneself and others, and that sentient beings are impermanent. Finally, the six realms of samsara.
