And, it dissolves into oneself as a blue mass of light, so that the Lama and one's own mind are inseparably united. This is from the actual instruction text: Taking the essence of Padmasambhava's heart, the key to the body is to sit upright in equipoise, the key to the channels is to fix the eyes straight ahead, the key to the winds is to restrain the upper and lower winds, the key to awareness is to rest naturally without fabrication, at dawn sing the song of HUM, visualize the Lama on the crown of the head and pray, when intense longing arises without fabrication, blend the Lama's heart and one's own awareness, rest the awareness for a moment in the state of equipoise. This is the meaning of what was said. Specifically, to eliminate the five faults of meditation, the first is to eliminate the obstacle of sinking and dullness. From the root text: Then, in order to eliminate the five inner faults of meditation, if the obstacle of sinking, dullness, and confusion arises, visualize the Guru of reddish-purple in the expanse of the sky, dissolve the light into oneself, etc., and practice according to the text. The meaning of this instruction text is: To eliminate the five faults of meditation, if one is sinking and dull, it arouses the evil of dullness, raise the body and awareness, focus the awareness, in a high place where the wind blows, adjust the posture of the body, place the awareness in the sky, absorb the Guru of reddish-purple and radiant into oneself, afterwards rest in the natural state of equipoise, if one strives for three days, the darkness of dullness will be dispelled. The meaning of this meditation is that if one falls into a state of sinking and dullness, it is the obstacle of sinking and dullness, so to eliminate it, in a high place where the wind blows, the posture of the body is as before, raise and focus the awareness, place it in the sky. Visualize the Lama Guru in the form of a wrathful Tsal, or any peaceful Guru, with a reddish-purple body and radiant, in the sky in front, focus the awareness on it, and at the end of praying with longing, it transforms into a reddish-purple light and absorbs into oneself, and rest in equipoise, meditate like this for three days. Second, to eliminate the obstacle of agitation and hatred, from the root text: To eliminate the obstacle of agitation and hatred, visualize the white Guru, in the sky directly in front of the eyebrows. The meaning of this instruction text is: If discursive thoughts are coarse and agitated, it arouses hatred, look at my body, focus the awareness, fill all the worlds with the deity body like oneself, joyful and powerful, the body is large and the limbs are strong, the fierce sound of HUM...

Ra-lden di-ri ri! Without calculating friend or foe, focus on awareness. The clear white Guru dissolves into your heart. Loosen awareness and rest in equanimity. Meditating for three days will subdue the thoughts of hatred. It is said. If discursive thoughts are rampant and wild, it is an obstacle that increases thoughts of hatred, so the way to eliminate it is: In the sky directly in front of the eyebrow center, visualize a clear white Guru, either peaceful or wrathful, focus your awareness on it, look at it, and pray with your mind, until it eventually transforms into white light and dissolves into yourself, and rest in equanimity. Sometimes, the Guru's form in front, and yourself, also appear unceasingly, awareness arises as the deity form of Vajra Dragpo Tsal. The wrathful Guru's form is brave and fierce, the body is large and the limbs are thick, from the mouth comes the wrathful sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) like thunder, emitting immeasurable rays of light, filling the entire world. Whatever appearances of friend or foe arise, without calculating, destroy them, focus your awareness on it, and finally loosen and release awareness, and rest in equanimity, meditate for three days. Third, the way to eliminate the obstacle of scattered thoughts scattering in various ways, not staying in equanimity, and the wild appearance of external objects is: In the root text it says: If distraction and awareness are obstructed like a shepherd, then from the navel center, fire blazes, burning the container and contents, and the aggregates and elements, and rest in emptiness. If distracted, then meditate on the blue Guru in the heart. Think that it also dissolves into light and dissolves into yourself. As the guidance text says: Awareness is like a shepherd, with many scattered thoughts, equanimity is unstable, when external appearances are wild, fire arises from below the navel and burns your own body. The fire increases greatly, burning the external land and cities, and the appearances of enemies, friends, beauty, and attachment. Rest everything in the state of great emptiness. Dissolve the blue Guru into your heart. Rest in a state of non-grasping for three days. This will lead the thieving discursive thoughts onto the path. It is said. The way to eliminate such obstacles is: Below your navel, the fire that dwells as the basis, in the form of a short stroke of the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A), from which fire blazes, and this body that appears as substantial is also burned by the heat. From this, the fire increases greatly, burning the external world of the container, the earth, stones, mountains, rocks, cities, etc., and the sentient beings of the contents, the appearances of enemies, friends, beauty, and attachment, burning everything completely.
