Here are instructions on cutting through the single point, and establishing oneself on the seat of liberation, etc. It is said. Secondly, there are two aspects to introducing from the perspective of experiential meditation. As it says in the text: Introducing the self-nature of meditation, and introducing the play of wisdom. The first of these is from the Precious Garland: From the nature of the three seated postures, the very meaning of primordial purity becomes manifest. As it is said, therefore, the students should sit in the mountain-like posture, with the body bound in the seven-fold posture of Vairochana, unmoving. Sit in the ocean-like posture, gazing steadily at the expanse of sky the distance of an arrow-shot, without moving the pupils. Sit in the wisdom-like posture, with the mind unadulterated by any conceptual thoughts of the three times, allowing the present awareness to be clear and without grasping, remaining in the natural state of Dharma, without straying from it. The introduction is as follows: As it is said: The stainless Buddha is the self-aware Dharmakaya, unchanging. Clear, limpid, and bright, like the cloudless autumn sky. And: Just as birds, wherever they fly, do not go beyond the sky, so too is the state of awareness. Let all phenomena rest in their own clarity, without wavering. Thus, by staying in the clear and pure state of mind, and through the force of uttering a powerful (ཕཊཿ, phat, Phat, cutting), the previous clarity of non-thought is shattered, yet in that thought, a non-grasping awareness arises, self-luminous, vast, and free. This is introduced as the non-grasping, self-abiding meditation. Once this is recognized, no matter what kind of good or bad, still or moving thoughts arise, by gazing directly at their own nature, non-grasping, self-abiding meditation arises, and effortless, spontaneous accomplishment of meditation is like a river. When this is somewhat stable, mixing it with subtle conditions, equality is achieved, without difference, day and night, without interval, without acceptance or rejection, free from meditator and meditation, reaching the exhaustion of mind and Dharma, which is a futile endeavor. As it says in the Prasangika: In the wisdom of primordial purity, there is no such thing as ignorance, therefore there is neither one nor two, countless, not just wisdom alone. As it is said. Secondly, there are three aspects to introducing the play of wisdom. As it says in the text: Introducing abiding as the ornament of the mind, introducing arising as the play of the mind, and introducing arising and abiding as non-dual. As it is said. The first is: The mind naturally rests, calmly and without grasping,

As it is, maintaining its natural flow, the three kayas, namely the essence, nature, and compassion, are spontaneously accomplished. As the Ornament of Precious Qualities states: "The complete Buddha is self-knowing. The essence is unchanging in the three times. The nature is eternally unceasing. Compassion is self-manifesting throughout." Thus it is said. Second, introducing the scattering as the play of mind: Although various thoughts scatter, when one recognizes one's own face, it never wavers, for it possesses the essence of empty, clear awareness. As the tantra of the Ornament of Precious Qualities states: "Unimpeded potential manifests in any way. From the very moment of arising, it is liberated in its own place. It cannot be expressed merely as liberation. Therefore, what is not liberated?" Thus it is said. Third, introducing scattering and abiding as non-dual: Scattering and abiding are like the ocean and waves. However they appear, they are primordially one. Therefore, they do not transcend the state of spontaneous arising and spontaneous dissolution of dharmata. As the Wondrous Tantra states: "Like the waves of the ocean, all the movements of the waves of mind, from the beginning, dissolve into the ocean of the ground." Thus it is said. Thus, the text states: "Therefore, however it arises, it is without grasping, beyond acceptance and rejection, the view of the Great Perfection of dharmata and self-nature is introduced as being held manifestly in hand." Thus it is said. Therefore, these introductions, after ensuring that experience arises in relation to the meaning of meditation previously explained, if the introductions are given in sequence, then on the basis of the actual state, conceptual elaborations will be cut off. If the introductions are given without experience of the meaning of meditation, then they will not correspond, and for the one who understands, it will become like a bird flying away. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the manner of introduction. Furthermore, as it appears in the writings of the Omniscient Dharma Lord, it is not in a state of being changeable, dependent, or fixed, not falling to either side of the outer six aggregates and the inner two consciousnesses, transcending permanence and annihilation, the essence of self-illumination, the unobstructed appearance, vast and clear, clear awareness, beyond expression, maintaining that own face without distraction, then the realization of the actual state will become increasingly enhanced and stable. Also, if dullness is predominant, then remove stale air, straighten the body, raise the gaze, apply force to awareness, exert effort on clarity, and focus upwards. If scattered and agitated, then lower the gaze, find a place of relaxation in the body, and look downwards.
