Relax your body. Don't say anything with your mouth. Without thinking anything in your mind, abide by looking at the mind. In "Vast Expanse of Clarity," it says: Thus, whoever abides in stillness, the causes of wind disturbances and illnesses are pacified, and clinging is naturally liberated. That is the meaning. In "After Death," it says: Hearers, Bodhisattvas, and Wrathful Ones, by their own ways of looking, also return to their original state. As it is said. Now, assume the lotus position with your body, with your hands in the earth-touching mudra or meditative equipoise, and look at the mind with the mind. Look with your eyes at a space one arrow-length in front of you. That is the way of looking of the Hearers. Turn your eyes upwards and look at the sky, sometimes this way, sometimes that way. That is the way of looking of the Wrathful Ones. Look at the tip of your nose. Make your eyes, the tip of your nose, and your mind one-pointed and look. That is the way of looking of the Bodhisattvas. You who have experience of the nature of mind, afterwards, please look at the mind according to whichever of the three ways of looking you prefer, and it is the best method for recognizing and enhancing the nature of mind. These are the preliminaries for Tögal guidance, equivalent to not having laid the foundation. Now, from the six instructions for attaining Buddhahood without meditating on Dzogchen, the instruction for attaining Buddhahood by looking, being able to directly see the manifestation of wisdom with the physical eye, the instruction for the wisdom eye to arise by looking with bubble-like eyes. The single clear and empty thigle. The instruction for directly seeing the peaceful and wrathful deity assembly that manifests the five wisdoms. In the tantra "Introduction to the Nature of Mind," it says: The meaning and the center of one's own body, abide in the heart as great wisdom. Also, in the tantra "Mirror of the Heart," it says: The place, clear in the center of the heart, in the midst of the five-colored lights, the peaceful form is like a mustard seed, abiding in the form of light. Also, in the tantra "Collection of Thigles," it says: In the center of the citta, which is the mind of sentient beings, the three dharmas abide as the nature of mind. Furthermore, it is extensively explained in the tantra "Essential Instructions of the Heart Mind": The so-called "citta flesh lamp," in one's own heart, the forty-two peaceful deities abide in the form of a body mandala. Also, in the tantra "Collection of Thigles," it says: The king of the channels, possessing a crystal-like hollow tube, abides within the sun and moon. Also, in the tantra "Burning Lamp," it says: In the white conch-like brain, of the three right-coiling ones, the channel is in the shape of a valerian root-like horn, the essence of all the elements gathers, and manifests to the senses.

That which acts. Among the root veins, this one is the most supreme. Thus it is said, the vein that connects the heart and the eyes, that is called the Lamp of the White Smooth Vein. In the Tantra of Sound Transformation, it says: "The very door through which wisdom arises, Is where all the pure essence of the body gathers, It emerges from the door called 'Cakṣu' (Skt: चक्षु, eye)." Thus it says. In the Tantra of Buddha's Own Nature, it says: "The body of wisdom or the support of all-pervading wisdom relies on one's own eyes. It abides in the center of one's own eyeball. It is clear, it appears without ceasing." This unobstructed, all-pervading thing in the center of one's own eyeball is the body of Buddha's all-pervading wisdom. Thus it is said. From the mandala of tears, appearing without ceasing, one's own eye is called the Lamp of the Distant Hook Water. In the Pearl Garland, it says: "The actions of the body are of three kinds: the posture of a lion, and an elephant, and a hermit sitting cross-legged." Although it is said to look with three postures, the two are not comfortable, so the posture of a hermit should be done. In the Transformation, it says: "Relying on the cross-legged sitting of a hermit, From the nature of phenomena, self-emanating, One will see with the eye of Dharma." Thus it is said. Each of you should sit cross-legged, with the ankles of your feet aligned. Place the soles of your feet on the ground. Straighten your body. Bring your knees to your chest. Cross your wrists and hug your knees. Straighten your spine. Afterwards, it says: "Rely on the key point of the wind being extremely slow." Thus it is said, do not speak with your mouth. Do not hold your breath, but let it flow naturally from your mouth and nose. Focus your eyes and mind on the sun in the sky with half-closed eyes. And look at the sun without clouds. In the Transformation, it says: "The door is to look at the three bodies with the eyes." Thus it says. In the Absence of Letters, it says: "The eye looks into the realm of space." Thus it says. Afterwards, it says: "The key point of the door is to look back, down, and sideways." This is the meaning of what is said. Having looked at the sun in this way, in the Self-Arisen Tantra, it says: "The body of light endowed with five wisdoms, Is very clear like a continuous thread. That is also going and coming, Moving and shimmering." Thus it says. In the Peaceful and Wrathful Dharmata Bardo Introduction, Seeing Liberation, it says: "The fifth is the introduction to the rays of sunlight, The introduction to the pure realms of the three bodies." Thus
