Arrange alcohol and offerings on the right and left sides. ༈ For the Tro Lod Umbrella that Subdues All, place a butter lamp in the center of the mandala. On the right and left, place treasure vases and Pal Tor, deity statues with silk umbrellas. In front, place peaceful and wrathful deity representations, the eight charnel ground implements, and representations of the nine-pointed vajra kila, phurba, and iron scorpion. ༈ Then, concerning the general arrangement for the Great Accomplishment Eight Commands, for the Nyang tradition Padma Shelphukma, a painted or appliqued thangka with the main retinue of nine deities. Above that, on a low table, place treasure vases with dark brown or dark blue neck bindings, filled with the essence of thirty-five dharani vajras, and adorn the opening with the main peaceful and wrathful deities. In front, place the deity representations. To the east, place the Pal Tor and offerings. To the south, place the crown ornament. To the west, place the vajra bell. To the north, place the secret empowerment skull cup filled with alcohol, covered with a mirror, and place a crystal stone and vidya representation on top. Place representations or tormas of the four activities and the charnel ground. Place the activity phurba together. It should be understood that the following Eight Commands lineages should be applied with this general framework. ༈ For the Secret Completion Swift Empowerment, the treasure vases and so forth on the mandala are the same as before, except that a separate crown ornament or its representation is added. The offerings, alcohol, and torma are placed in one container. Also include a representation of the assembled charnel ground implements, mantra slips, mala, tsok substances, food and drink, and a skull cup of amrita for making bindus. ༈ For the Northern Treasure Self-Arisen, prepare the four substances and offerings. On the painted thangka, place the main vase on top of a two-tiered throne, with the deity representations on the opening. Below, place the skull statue, the secret skull cup, a mirror with a sindhura bindu, covered with silk, and a crystal stone on top. Also place the crown ornament, vajra bell, and vidya representation. In the center, place an iron phurba with a crest jewel. In a convenient location, place the scriptures, precious mala, conch shell and staff, crossed vajra, umbrella, victory banner, and vajra bell in one container. Also place the hand implements of the five families, peaceful implements, and hand implements in two sets on the right and left. One set includes the khatvanga, skull mala, and three robes. Another set includes blood, ashes, and the three fats. Another set includes armor, a fire pile, and bone ornaments. Also place the leopard skin, crest jewel, bone ornaments, skull mala, white mustard seeds, lamp, and charnel ground. Include peaceful and wrathful purification substances such as black sesame seeds. ༈ For the Ogyen Lingpa's Collected Intentions Meaning Empowerment, place five grains in the center on the painted thangka.
