From masters such as Jetsun Rinchen and Minling Trichen Gyurme Sangye Kunga, he received the mind training related to the traditions of the Two Chariots. From the TharTse Khen Rinpoche brothers, he received the Chakrasamvara empowerment. From Minling Trichen, he received the authentic So lugs. Rigdzin Thug Thig. From Shechenpa Kunzig Gyurme Thutob Namgyal, he listened to the empowerment of the Guhyagarbha Tantra, thus establishing the root of the mantra vows. He completely eradicated the pride of being a reincarnation, lineage, wealth, and power, and accepted great hardships. With great effort and diligence, he relied on about one hundred and fifty tutors, including lamas who were Vajradharas, virtuous friends, and scholars of the sciences, from the three regions of U-Tsang and Kham. He thoroughly studied and listened to the explanations of the ten sciences, including crafts, medicine, grammar, and logic, as well as the philosophical treatises such as the Vinaya, Abhidharma, Madhyamaka, and Prajnaparamita. He received the complete ripening and liberation of all the ancient traditions that remained undiminished, such as the Nyingma Kama and Terma, the old and new Kadampa, the three Sakya Ngor Tsar, the Kagyu Kamtsang, the Drikung Taglung Drukpa, the Jowo Shalwa, and the Bodong. He received all the explanatory transmissions of the tantras and treatises, such as the Guhyagarbha Tantra, the Kalachakra, Chakrasamvara Hevajra Guhyasamaja, and the Kangyur Rinpoche, the Nyingma Gyubum, and the Tengyur. In particular, he listened to the reading transmissions of about seven hundred volumes of treatises from all the non-sectarian traditions of Tibet, including all the existing lineages. In short, he sought only to listen for about thirteen years. He listened to most of the lineages of the ten great pillars known to support the explanatory tradition. This master, merely by looking at a scripture, thoroughly understood the meaning and possessed a dharani that never forgot. However, in order to demonstrate the conduct of not belittling the Dharma, he did not merely listen, but thoroughly studied and became familiar with the key points of the views, practices, and commitments of each tradition, and the correctness of each tradition and its lineage, knowing them in detail and without confusion. He possessed such a pure and undefiled Dharma eye that even this alone cannot be compared to anyone, whether superior or inferior, in the present time. Most of the ripening and liberation of all the sutras, tantras, and treatises that he listened to, along with their supports, were repeated many times.

I extensively lectured and without holding back anything, solely through pure Dharma donation, righteously fulfilled the wishes of each individual, from the most sublime holy beings to the ordinary folks. From a young age, he never engaged in unethical means of accumulating wealth, such as town rituals and divination, which are named as benefiting sentient beings. However, due to the outward manifestation of the qualities of the three burnings (referring to the three trainings of morality, concentration, and wisdom) and the three gatherings (referring to the three doors of body, speech, and mind), all the wealth that came effortlessly was never wasted even a tiny bit on inappropriate things. He built about two thousand statues made only of gold and copper, forty-odd volumes of scriptures as speech supports, about two thousand volumes of combined handwritten and printed books, and hundreds of mind supports made of gold and copper, including the great stupa on the naturally formed (self-arisen) sacred site. To house these sacred objects, he built thirteen temples of various sizes, beautifully decorated, and established regular and constant offerings. Due to the constraints of the times, it was difficult to build new temples, so he did not expand them. However, later, due to the turbulent times and the chaos from top to bottom, most of the monasteries suffered severe damage. The venerable one himself, according to the size of the monasteries, donated more than three thousand items of actual tea, and through coordination with Han and Tibetan officials, and the officials of the Dharma King of Derge (Sde-dge), he resolved important issues, thereby enabling the original monasteries to be restored, repaired, and rebuilt. He bestowed great kindness in ways that allowed them to flourish, such as donating offering funds and providing testaments in accordance with tradition. Every year, he offered gifts for the dedication of mantras to various monasteries, large and small, amounting to four thousand items of actual tea in total, before and after. In general, he obtained a firm foundation in the two aspects of Bodhicitta, and in particular, he displayed pure perception and increasing reverence for any school of thought, without any sectarian bias or wrong views. Therefore, he had countless disciples, including well-known upholders of the teachings from the Sakya, Kagyu, Nyingma, and Gelug schools, virtuous spiritual friends, hermits, humble practitioners, and even those who uphold the Yungdrung Bon tradition. Many great officials from Han and Tibet.
