The officials treated all the great deities as they would treat people, and invited them to the place where the feast was being held. Not believing it, in the middle of the night, everyone took torches and looked, and inside it was empty, without even a single clay statue. They searched with sticks but couldn't touch anything, so they believed it. The next morning, they looked through the cracks in the door, and all the statues were sitting as before. Guru Padmasambhava was making offerings, and they directly saw the gods enjoying the food and talking. On that day, all the incense and lamps lit themselves, all the musical instruments played themselves, and the bells rang themselves. The five hanging banners increased to five hundred. There was a handful of grapes in a plate, and no matter how much the people gathered there ate, it didn't decrease. Everyone was amazed. The next morning, at Lhalung Tsozher near the sleeping quarters, they used a man named Nyen Lek as a medium. They invoked the goddess of light, and made him speak, and he spoke the names of all the untamed gods and spirits of Tibet. Shampo causes hailstorms in Phang-thang, Thang-lha causes hailstorms on Marpo Ri, the twelve Tenma cause diseases in humans and livestock, and the nine great gods and spirits of Tibet cause hailstorms, and so on. From that time onwards, they also used many children of noble birth as mediums, and invoked the Four Great Kings. The Yaksha fire god showed his true face. They spoke the names, residences, and behaviors of all the evil gods and spirits. Then, in order to make the king and ministers believe, they actually possessed a rough evil spirit into a person, and after threatening and tormenting them, they preached the Dharma and made them swear allegiance. They each offered their life mantras and rituals to Guru Padmasambhava. For those who could not be subdued, they performed fire pujas and subdued them by various means. They did this twice. There Guru Padmasambhava said: In the future, you may perform religious activities as you please, and build temples according to your wishes. In the past, you have twice placed the gods and spirits under oath, and now I want to do it once more. After that, they also went to Zurphud Kyangbu Tshal in the palace. While residing there, they subdued the Nagas such as Mal-gro Gzi-can. Mal-gro Gzi-can said: The greatest on earth is Tsampo Trisong Detsen (742-797), and the greatest under the earth is me. Let's be friends. Build a temple for the king...

He offered fourteen mule loads of gold dust. Just as it was said, "Please let the golden elephant take the gold with its trunk from the gold mine," the gold appeared exactly like that. He also subdued King Beykar. That was also when Beykar came to see the mandala while he was performing the mandala to subdue him, he drove a peg into his eye. Because he listened to the mantra, he drove a peg into his ear. Because he made the gesture of reciting the mantra, he drove a peg into his tongue. Then, wanting to escape, he drove pegs into his four limbs, so he could not walk. When he said, "Now I will burn you," he was very frightened and took an oath and bound himself by oath. After that, he went to subdue Yarlha Shampo (Yarlha Shampo Holy Mountain). He sent water down on the master. The master raised the vajra from the corner of his cloak, and the water flowed backwards and poured back into Lhateng Wateng (Holy Lake). There, when the vajra was thrown, the water boiled and about one-third of the snow mountain of Shampo (Yarlha Shampo Holy Mountain) melted. There he sat on the top of the snow mountain and said, "You have harmed me so much." The master said, "You have also harmed me so much, now if you do not come under oath, I will burn you." There, while prostrating at the master's feet, he said, "I am of the black race, so I am not able to do Dharma. From now on, I will not do harm," and he took an oath. In that way, for about six months, he brought almost all non-humans under his oath. Then, for the benefit of the kingdom and all the Tibetan people, he said that he would perform a great fire puja. Once, at a great celebration, there was the matter of washing the hair of the Tsenpo (King). Acharya Bodhisattva said that there is a spring on the north side of Mount Meru that always appears. If you take water from there and cool the Tsenpo's head, he will live long, the lineage will increase, and the government will be very powerful. When asked who could take the water, he replied that the master mantra practitioner could. When asked to the master, he sealed the mouth of the golden vase with a white silk scarf and placed it in the center of the mandala. After reciting the mantra, he threw the vase into the sky, and it went higher and became invisible. After the time it takes to eat a meal, the vase suddenly appeared in front of the master. There, after washing the Tsenpo's head, he handed it to all the ministers. When they opened it, the water inside was cloudy and muddy. The ministers poured it out in front of the assembly of all the ministers, saying, "This is probably the mad water of Mon (Bhutan), pour it out." After pouring it out, it disappeared, but it also caused great loss.
