Do it. That's what it means. Lama Naropa said: Do not think, do not contemplate, do not remember, do not meditate, do not examine, the mind is liberated in its very nature. He said that's what it means. Simhabhadra said in the Abhisamayalankara: Here there is nothing to be removed, There is nothing to be established, Look at reality as it is, Seeing reality, one is liberated. That's what it means. In the Madhyamaka it says: Mind is not mind, The nature of mind is luminosity. That's what it means. The great Brahmin said: This mind bound by ropes, If released, there is no doubt of liberation. That's what it is. In the Sarvatathāgatādhiṣṭhānacittavajraḍākaguhyasamājatan̄tra it says: Whoever has something to examine and something to examine with, That is not enlightenment. The nature of enlightenment is like the sky, Because all thoughts are abandoned. That's what it is. That is virtue, that is meditation. It is important to practice in solitude, without being particularly stingy with food and clothing. The precious Lama said: Guarding that instant of virtue, For example, one who seeks fire gathers the causes and conditions of tinder, flint, fire iron, and human effort. When a red spark appears, if it is not cherished and nurtured, but instead of slowly nurturing it with flames, etc., dirt and stones are thrown on it, the fire will go out. If that instant of virtue is not guarded, but other virtues such as tummo are practiced, that instant will disappear. Again, if the fire is slowly nurtured with grass, etc., and no dirt or stones are thrown on it, the fire will grow bigger and bigger from a spark, and eventually, even if dirt and stones are thrown on it, it will help to burn forests, etc. Similarly, that instant of virtue should be guarded in solitude, and if many other meditations such as tummo are not done, the stream of virtue will gradually lengthen from one or two instants, and when it becomes habitual, whatever virtue such as tummo is practiced will spontaneously arise in the state of Mahamudra. He said. Again, a small fire is extinguished by a big wind. Similarly, if virtue has not been stabilized, it can be harmed even by subtle thoughts such as afflictions. Again, fire

When a great fire is burning, even if a great wind arises, it becomes a helper in burning the forest. Similarly, when stability is attained in meditation, whatever thoughts arise, such as afflictions, become helpers in that meditation. Just as a great wind becomes a helper to the fire that burns the forest, it is said that for a noble being with the eye of wisdom, afflictions also become helpers. This is single-pointed meditation. Among the three—nature, essence, and characteristic—this is the clarity of the nature of mind, like the clear autumn sky, unobstructed by conceptual thoughts. When sentient beings abandon conceptual thoughts, and the mind is without conceptual thought, it becomes clear like a mirror cleansed of dirt. This is said to be clear emptiness, like the sky, without beginning or end. Among experience, realization, and conceptual thought, the kind lama is the experience. Among experience, bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, when abiding in the state of that meditation, the body is light and the complexion is comfortable, and the mind is free from afflictions and other conceptual thoughts, and is relaxed and comfortable—this is bliss. Furthermore, the mind is clear and relaxed in the state of emptiness, or in that state, the Buddha's pure lands and so on are clear—this is clarity. At the time of non-conceptuality, the mind is empty, or the five objects of the five senses are clear, but conceptual thoughts do not follow after them—this is non-conceptuality. It is said that it is important not to explain this experience to someone who is not a guiding lama, because it will disappear. Furthermore, at the time of focusing on the essential points of any meditation, whether with or without signs, whatever faults or qualities arise, whether shamatha or vipassana, knowing that they have arisen from this becomes experience. Among things, thoughts, and the three, at the time of single-pointedness, since one has not gained control over appearance and mind, the field transforms it, so the field is the main thing. Furthermore, by abandoning attachment to substance, body, and experience, relying on solitude, and cultivating single-pointed meditation, liberation arises from that, and meditation free from elaboration arises. Within this single-pointed meditation, through the blessing of the lama and the power of one's own devotion, the mind is without birth and death, free from the eight extremes of elaboration, and one's own mind is the body of co-emergent wisdom.
