Thus. Because it is scattered, it is near. Unending compassion is like the wind. Because of the power of others, definite arising, and equal view of self and sentient beings, and because the deeds are not completely fulfilled, he continuously acts in samsara. Thus it is said. Also, the example is shown: Indra, drum sound, cloud, Brahma, like the sun, like a jewel, like a precious gem. Thus the Tathagata is like a sweet sound, like the sky and like the earth. If these are explained in detail: Just as the nature of pure beryl changes on this earth, because it is pure, in that place of the lord of the gods, together with the assembly of goddesses, the excellent victory banner palace, and other heavenly abodes, and the various palaces of that, and the many heavenly objects are seen. Then the assembly of men and women, those who dwell on the earth, see that appearance, and we too will soon become like this lord of the gods, and make such prayers, and for the sake of attaining that meaning, they perform virtue, and thus truly take and abide. Those virtuous deeds, this is just an appearance, like that, even without knowing, from the earth, they are transferred and born as gods. That appearance is extremely, without thought and without movement. Although it is like that, on the earth, it dwells near with great meaning. Likewise, those with faith and so on, without impurity, by meditating on the qualities of faith and so on, the complete and perfect enlightenment that appears from one's own mind, possessing signs and examples, walking and standing, sitting and sleeping, the one who performs various behaviors, speaking the peaceful Dharma, not speaking and abiding equally, various forms of miracles, the one who performs with great splendor, sentient beings will see. Having seen that, even those with desire, strive for Buddhahood, and having truly taken that cause, they attain the desired state. That appearance is extremely, without thought, without movement. Even so, in the world, it dwells near with great meaning. This is the appearance of one's own mind, but ordinary people do not recognize it. Thus it is said. Again, just as on a pure beryl ground, the image of the body of the lord of gods appears, so too on the pure ground of sentient beings' minds, the image of the body of the King of Sages.

Appears. Said. Furthermore, the example of a god or a drum: Just as the gods in the heavens, with the power of past purity, without effort, place, mental image, and without discrimination, with the sound of impermanence, suffering, selflessness, and peace, awaken all the heedless gods, just like urging with the drum of Dharma. Similarly, although the all-pervading one is free from effort and so on, he spreads the Buddha's teachings to all beings, teaching the Dharma to those who are fortunate. Although the Buddha's teachings are universally proclaimed, to explain that beings do not understand, the teachings cannot enter their ears, just as being far from the ears, one cannot experience subtle sounds. Similarly, even if everything enters the ears of the gods, it cannot enter the ear canal. Similarly, the supremely subtle and excellent Dharma is also the realm of subtle wisdom, and can only enter the ear canal of a few who are free from afflictions. Said. The example of a cloud is used to explain: Just as the clouds in summer are the cause of abundant crops, effortlessly and constantly pouring a large amount of water onto the ground. Similarly, from the clouds of compassion, the rain of the Victorious One's excellent Dharma descends, which is the cause of the good deeds of beings, descending without discrimination. Just as the world enters the path of virtue, the wind-born rain is poured down by the clouds. Similarly, for the sake of the wind of compassion and the manifest increase of beings' virtues, the Buddha pours down the rain of excellent Dharma from the clouds. In samsara, possessing wisdom and great compassion, abiding in the unchanging and untainted center of the sky, possessing the essence of Samadhi Dharani, which is stainless. The cloud of the Sage is the cause of the crops of virtue. From the various differences in the vessels of the place of descent: Just as cool, sweet, soft, and light water flows from that cloud, and because of its connection with places such as salt and alkali on the ground, it becomes extremely numerous flavors. Similarly, the rain of the eighty noble limbs, flowing from the essence of the vast cloud of compassion, because of the differences in the places of the beings' continuums, becomes endowed with various flavors. Thus it is said. Furthermore, the Dharmakaya of the Sugata does not move, and in all the realms of the world, what is seen by the fortunate, that which is seen also constantly eliminates all defilements. The aspiration of one's own past, and the virtues of the gods.
