One must also dedicate the merit of samsara. The merit previously done by the six types of beings, as well as what will be done in the future, and what is being done now, from the time the Buddha first generated Bodhicitta until samsara is not empty, the Dharmakaya qualities and activities of the Buddha are continuous, and these are freely used for the benefit of sentient beings. All the Buddhas of the past, as well as all the Buddhas who will come in the future, and the Dharmakaya qualities and activities of the Buddhas, the Bhagavan who has come now, residing until samsara is not empty, and the Buddhas who appear, and the merit of the six paramitas practiced by those Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and the merit of those who are prophesied to be Pratyekabuddhas, and the merit of the Shravakas, and whatever merit there is of the learners with outflows and the non-learners without outflows, and the merit of each ordinary person planting the root of virtue to the Buddha, and the four assemblies of the Buddha, namely the Bhikshu parents, and the Upasaka parents, and so on, and the root of virtue generated by the Buddhas from generosity, and the root of virtue generated from discipline, and the root of virtue generated from meditation, all of these initially do not realize emptiness. Because that is the mind of the Buddha, it is the merit that is inherently present from the beginning, so by rejoicing in that alone, may all sentient beings realize it, and for this we dedicate. One also empties the field with emptiness, not clinging to the field; the thought empties the thought with emptiness, not clinging to the thought; the object empties the object with emptiness, not clinging to the object, placing all these in emptiness without clinging, everything is beyond thought. Just as Gyalsé Dorjé Gyaltsen dedicated, just as it is dedicated in the chapter on dedication in the Eight Thousand Verses, so too should it be dedicated. Then, how to imitate the way it is dedicated there to recite? Bodhisattva Maitreya said to Rabjor: Rabjor, the object of merit arising from the rejoicing of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and the merit arising from meditation
