It is said to be experience, although scholars say so, this statement of scholars is also just one-sided, because each thing may simultaneously possess these three characteristics. When the meaning of this phenomenon is understood, the arising of interdependence can be understood. Therefore, it is sufficient to focus on dependent arising. When I was in འབུ་སྔོན་ (place name) Phagmo Drupa, the practitioner Chö Yé said that he had many ideas. Then, I said to him, "Then, shall I perform some rituals of dependent arising concerning livelihood starting tomorrow?" He said, "Please do so." I said, "Then, bring a little of what you want." So, he brought tea, flour, butter, and whatever else he could find. I offered those things into the bag of dependent arising. The next day, he started offering "Chale Chale" (a type of food), and Chö Yé said, "What have you been doing? I can't stand poverty anymore." Then he started complaining. This is what is called the ritual of dependent arising. Furthermore, when mentioning "dependent arising," it does not refer to deceptive dependent arisings such as "Serser bird food," "Pabu buckwheat," "Lungtang ghost eye," "Arrow eagle," and so on. In one Phag, there are other profound teachings as well. Now, accumulating merit through the three ways of fields, aspirations, and objects, this is what is called dependent arising. The intention of Phagmo Drupa is that this is the essence of all dependent arisings, and it is a very profound Dharma. Furthermore, the enlightened Jigten Sumgön Rinpoche said that, in general, the path traversed by the Bhagavan in all tantras and characteristics is the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. The basis of the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment is the four mindfulnesses. If one possesses these initial four mindfulnesses, then the ones above will become increasingly special, and the ones below will become more powerful. It is not that one can attain the ones above by abandoning the ones below. Therefore, these initial four mindfulnesses are very profound. They are like this: First, mindfulness of the body refers to observing that the body is full of impure substances and is impermanent like a corpse in a cemetery. It is precisely because impurity is seen in the body,

To accomplish great meaning in the future life, like serving the Lama, one should extract the essence from the body. Because the body is seen as impermanent, one must seek the permanent body of the Tathagata and accumulate that cause. If such a cause is not accumulated, then there is no need to meditate on impermanence and impurity. When observing in this way, because the body is seen as having no beginning and end, the Dharmakaya is attained. Secondly, the mindfulness of feelings is to observe that the three feelings of pleasure, pain, and indifference are impermanent, and that if attachment and aversion arise towards them, suffering will arise. Because they are understood as impermanent and suffering, one must abandon afflictions and generate great compassion for beings tormented by suffering. If subtle and coarse afflictions are not abandoned and compassion is not generated, merely understanding the meaning is not enough. Having observed in this way, because one realizes that feelings have not arisen, one attains the solitude of body and mind. Thirdly, the mindfulness of mind is to know that different minds arise from different objects, and that if there is no object, the mind does not arise. That is, by observing the mind with the mind, one understands that the mind and the object are inseparable, and knows that it is free from elaboration. By understanding all of samsara and nirvana like understanding the mind, one sees the meaning of equality. At that time, the cause and effect of samsara are impure cause and effect. One should accumulate merit and abandon non-merit, and enter the Middle Way for the benefit of all beings. Therefore, the intention of the Buddha is very profound. Furthermore, the World Protector Rinpoche said, "Like this, all phenomena included in appearance, existence, samsara, and nirvana are one's own mind. The mind is originally unborn, like the center of the sky." That is not the outer sky, but dwells in the center of the sky of the mind. Therefore, happiness, suffering, and all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana are originally unborn. That which is originally unborn is also called originally enlightened. Therefore, it is said, "Beings are originally Buddhas, but are obscured by sudden defilements." Therefore, one's own mind is originally unbor
