It is said, "There is no Buddha and no sentient beings." Therefore, it is extremely important to meditate on one's own mind, free from elaboration, at all times and in all ways. Furthermore, the venerable Drikungpa, the protector of beings, said, "The path and footprints of all the Tathagatas of the three times are the four noble truths. Among them, the Prajnaparamita, which teaches profundity, says: 'Through discipline, those who desire peace become noble, the realm of the ten powers abides, and discipline is not impaired.' Furthermore, the venerable Acharya Aryadeva also said: 'Discipline is like the earth for all that is born and unborn, it is the foundation of all virtues.' Furthermore, the Sutra Requested by the Jewel Daughter also extensively explains that the cause of the merits of separation and maturation is discipline. Furthermore, guard discipline like a precious jewel, always rely on a compatible friend, never rely on an evil friend, and you will soon attain the wisdom of the Buddha. Furthermore, for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, with a pure mind, offer food and drink, umbrellas and banners, and garlands of lamps to billions of Buddhas. Whoever practices one precept day and night when the sacred Dharma is decaying and the Sugata's teachings are disappearing, that merit is far superior to the former. So it is said. The Blessed One also said in the great root tantra: 'It has never been said that those who break their vows can attain mantra accomplishment.' Therefore, discipline alone is of utmost importance. If we consider the sacred Dharma of the Vinaya, Acharya Gunaprabha declared that this root text of the sacred Dharma Sutra is the four truths. However, I thought that the kindness of the four truths was small, but in fact, he had explained it extensively, so I felt that the kindness was very great. The way he explained it is also as he said: 'If we consider renunciation, it is discipline.' The meaning of that is as follows: It should be known from where to where, and in what way to renounce, there are three. From where to where is from the cycle of the three realms to the three types of enlightenment. The method is:

The Four Noble Truths. Samsara is abandoning cause and effect, and Nirvana is achieving cause and effect. If we consider that the cause is the origin of suffering (Samudaya), and the result is the accumulation of suffering (Dukkha), then the basis is that afflictions arise, and with actions possessing four branches, completing any of the five categories of transgressions, it is said that the ocean of suffering of the three realms of Samsara will arise. Therefore, it is said that in the great ocean of Samsara, in the manner of the twelve links of dependent origination, from ignorance (Avidya) and action (Samskara) to old age and death (Jara-marana), there is constant cycling. Even on the foundation of dwellings, a five-part wheel is drawn on the door of the monastery, and a wild boar is drawn in the center. This symbolizes that the boar has two qualities, just as it eats everything it finds, afflictions are based on ignorance, and the discrimination of attachment and aversion greatly increases, making the mind very foolish, and just as it is difficult to kill, ignorance is also very difficult to abandon. It is said that nothing other than true wisdom can kill it. If one asks what that wisdom is, it is that through detachment from desire, the mind is liberated, and wisdom is liberated. It is said that the meaning is that from the mind free from desire, concentration (Samadhi) arises, and from concentration, wisdom (Prajna) arises. Similarly, anger and ignorance are similar, so it is the antidote to destroy ignorance. To symbolize it, it is said to draw the mandala of the moon. The moon also has two qualities: it is cool by pacifying the suffering of afflictions, and it is clear by dispelling the darkness of ignorance. If we consider the Truth of the Path and the Truth of Cessation, the Path is also said to be the Eightfold Noble Path, in short, it is the discipline or three trainings of definite renunciation. Similarly, in the five-part wheel itself, the necessity of drawing a monk with the marks of a monk is to symbolize the Truth of the Path. In the Compendium of Vinaya, it says: 'One should strive and one should emerge, one should enter the Buddha's teachings, like an elephant from a reed house, one should destroy the army of the Lord of Death. Whoever practices this Dharma and discipline with great diligence will completely abandon the cycle of birth and ultimately be freed from suffering.' The necessity of writing these things is also the same. Such a sacred Dharma.
